I wash and condition my hair regularly, but I also dye it every 6-8 weeks. I get it 'trimmed evry few months. It just has never grown very fast! I've tried prenatal vitamins which help some, but not much Does anyone else know of any great ways to speed up the process? Thanks! :-)

I've never found any evidence that supports the theory that hair grows faster certain times of the year. Although the health of your scalp can affect the growth rate, so if you are predisposed toward scalp problems during a particular season, your hair will probably grow more slowly at that time.

An average person's hair grows .5 inches per month. As you get older, the speed of hair growth can slow down. Supplements can improve that rate, but there are no miracle pills to force it to grow at a dramatic rate. Some people simply can't grow long hair. It has something to do with genetics and the amount of time your hair grows until falling out and being replaced with a new strand.

Hope that helps!

Yes, lay off the chemicals for awhile and trim your hair on a new moon. For some reason, hair grows faster when it is cut on a new moon. This is not a old wifes tale. It has scientific sense to it. Your body is 90 % water. The moon plays a big role on the waters on the earth. Make since?
Anyway mine is down past my crack. I trim it every three new moons. In orther word every 3 months. Good luck , and blessed Be

I think hair grows faster during wet seasons. Hairs that are highly moist usually grows faster, like plants.

I think one should eat lots of fresh high iron-content fruits to make the hair grow faster. Answers based on experience...

I personally think that hair grows fastest in summer and winter. In the summer, I swear a lot, and I heard sweating is good for ur hair because it eliminates toxins and is fresh for new hair to grow. In the winter, I think hair should grow the fastest. Rinsing your hair in cold water could make ur hair thicker, and the winter is cold. Also, humans have hair on their body to stay warm, so I think that ur hair would want to grow more the more cold u are to keep u warm.

I currently ise Biotin 5,000 iu, vitamin E, vitamin B-12 and a multivitamin. Alot of hair growth is from the inside out. Avacado oil also has alot of vitamins and is great for the scalp and you can also try lavander oil. i suggest you make sure your hair is deeply conditioned once a week. i personally love the avacado oil (rub into your scalp and hair really well) (buy at healthfood stores) and then on top of that rub in the hemp and placenta mix (packets at walmart in hair section) you can also use olive oil as a great moisturizer as well. make sure to wrap your head in a warm heated towel for about 30 mins or so and then rinse really well. Don't shampoo though or else you undo what you have done. My hair came out super soft and not at all greasy, and very tangle free.

I love the Garnier products, great for length and strength. As to the trimming, the more you trim the faster it grows. If you have a simple style to your hair, I suggest going to supercuts or some other cheap place once between going to your usual place. That way you can get a cheap trim to keep it growing faster.

hair grows at it's own pace u cannot make it grow faster. however, lots of chemicals in the hair damages it which in turn cause it to grow slower. so if u want ur hair to grow don't dye it so often, and if u want ur hair to be long just trim it an inch every six months.

Hair loss affects both men and women. Here are some natural remedies that can help boost hair growth: https://tr.im/HairLossPrevention
While genetics plays a role, there are other factors, including: hormonal imbalances, an underactive thyroid gland, nutrient deficiencies and insufficient scalp circulation.
