Christendom? Is this just one small part of the mind control program or what?

Why are not Jehovah's Witnesses the Christendom? To me it looks like that both theologically and historically JWs fall within the boundaries of Christendom...heretical one even.

Jaco Homo: Well, JWs claim to be the only true Christians and they call all the other Christians Cristendom...A little bit like there is only one true God,and then other gods ; )

Practica: LOL. I have never been JW, and never will. However, I am very interested in knowing why on earth JWs think that they are the real Christians and they do not even believe Jesus is God!

It's pretty simple. Clearly, if I feel my beliefs are correct, and some of the beliefs you and I have are mutually exclusive, then I would think mine right, and by extension yours wrong.

Would it make sense for me to feel my beliefs are wrong??

Jehovah's Witnesses have always retained their political neutrality. Thus, Witnesses are not part of Christendom as the word has historically connoted.

[quote]
Christendom as a polity
The term Christendom has been used to refer to the medieval and renaissance notion of the Christian world as a sort of social and political polity. In essence, the vision of Christendom is a vision of a Christian theocracy, a government devoted to the enforcement of Christian values, and whose institutions suffused with Christian doctrine. In this vision, members of the Christian clergy wield plenty of political clout. The specific relationship between the political leaders and the clergy can vary but, in theory, national or political divisions are subsumed under the leadership of a church institution.

"Christendom"...“Those parts of the world where most of the inhabitants profess the Christian faith.”—Webster’s New World Dictionary.

(John 15:19) If you [true Christians] were part of the world, the world would be fond of what is its own. Now because you are no part of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, on this account the world hates you.

Jehovah's Witnesses use the term “Christendom” in reference to professed Christianity, in contrast with the Christianity of the Bible.

As the Watchtower correctly states, Christianity and Christendom are two different things.

Christendom has never embraced the personal name of God and has chosen instead to walk in the name of its Trinity god, and since nominal churchgoers are not his people, as God calls those with whom he conducts his legal case, the world-wide headquarters of Jehovah’s Witnesses – Bethel – unquestionably fits the description of the antitypical “city” with which the name of Jehovah has been associated.

Micah 4:5 says: “For all the peoples, for their part, will walk each one in the name of its god; but we, for our part, shall walk in the name of Jehovah our God to time indefinite, even forever.”

Christendom---

“Those parts of the world where most of the inhabitants profess the Christian faith.”—Webster’s New World Dictionary.

Why are Jehovah's Witnesses not part of Christendom? Because we devoted ourselves to pure worship--using the Bible to guide us and not pagan beliefs or what is traditional to men. Many strongly believe we deny the Christ yet, we follow closely the footsteps he left behind. Jesus came to minister. He went from door to door, village to village teaching others about the Kingdom of God. Today, we JEhovah's Witnesses do the same around the world. Every year, we observe the memorial of his death during the lunar calendar of Nissan 14. Jesus said, "I am no part of the world," (John 17:16) As followers of Christ, Christians today are also no part of the world. So, we stay out of politics. Many who are not Witnesses do not even vote either because they no longer have faith in the goverment. They say politics is a dirty game. Yet, churches/religion who claim to be Christians today engage in political affairs! Religious leaders give blessings to wars and pray for victory! Victory over what? Over massively killing thousands of people? Victory to whom? Who will God side with if all religious leaders from different group of armies pray for victory? How is that following Christ when Jesus himself said we should "pray for our enemies" and "love thy neighbor?"

Church and state should be separate!

Jehovah's Witnesses follow closely the example Jesus Christ left behind. Therefore, we are not part of Christendom.

"I have never been JW and never will"...... Hmmmmm......

Those who were once with us and left (or got put out!) have got issues with us.

Those who have not yet been with us but SEEM to have issues with us are either unduly influenced by the former group, OR are obsessed with us OR are trying to find errors in our beliefs so that they can say "See- the JWs are wrong too!"

Seeing that will not happen, you'll either have to join us or ignore the evidence. Your choice, Nina.

Why not try I'm sure you ll find the answer of all your question specially about our belief.....
have a good day!!!!
here some point from the Bible Colosians 1:15,16 state about Jesus as the first creation of God, all things were created through him and for him.
and also in John 17:3 says that This is eternal life, that they know thee the only true God(Jehovah) and the one who he sent forth Jesus Christ, have you notice that Jesus refer the only true God not him self but his fatter in heaven?
John 17:20, Matthew 6:9,10 in this prayer, Jesus pray to his father who is in heaven not to his self, if he is the God why would he prayed to hi self?.

This is Christian:

Romans 10:8-10

8 But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach): 9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

No mention here of buildings and collection plates, no mention of conventions and tents, no mention of subscribing to war or molesting children. There are bad people every where who do bad things. Even within the Jehovah’s Witnesses. Like the one who got drunk and drove head on into the car of a local Baptist minister on a highway near here, killing the minister and three of his children. Should I hold all Witnesses guilty for this man’s action? No.

What I charge them [JWs] with is convincing a dying woman she was unworthy and would never be in heaven, though she was a generous believer. Romans 10:9-10 fit her to a tee, but she died in fear and trepidation, because she was convinced she was not worthy.

I charge them with denying the divinity of Jesus Christ and convincing their followers that Jesus was an archangel. I have the following scripture hanging in two inch tall letters on the wall of my living room:

Isa 9:6
For unto us a Child is born,
Unto us a Son is given;
And the government will be upon His shoulder.
And His name will be called
Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Whenever any JW missionary sees this, they turn and leave.

I charge them with repeatedly telling their followers to sell everything and prepare for an end that never came.

I charge them with misinterpreting the 144,000 in Revelation.

I charge them with teaching repression and fear.

I charge them with disobeying the Christ:

Matt 18
5 Whoever receives one little child like this in My name receives Me.
6 “Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to sin, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were drowned in the depth of the sea. 7 Woe to the world because of offenses! For offenses must come, but woe to that man by whom the offense comes!

I do not judge these folk, many of whom are confused and misdirected by the Watchtower. Judgment is up to the Lord.

I believe there are a lot of good Christians in a lot of different churches, many of whom have been misled by the ministry of their church.

Zechariah 11:16
"For behold, I am going to raise up a shepherd in the land who will not care for the perishing, seek the scattered, heal the broken, or sustain the one standing, but will devour the flesh of the fat sheep and tear off their hoofs.

The JWs are not the only ones led by this type of shepherd.

You're an apostate witness aren't you?, Satan got you, huh! Jehovah's Witnesses are true Christians. In answer to your reply, Because Jesus is not God, the Bible is clear on that.

This is Christendom... BY THE WAY I SHOWED YOU WHERE IN THE BIBLE SAYS THAT ALL ANGELS ARE SONS OF GOD AND ARE GODS. (JOB 1:6,2:1 AND PSALM 82:1 AND VERSE 6)

The Land Letter was a letter sent to President George W. Bush by five evangelical Christian leaders on October 3, 2002 which outlined their theological support for a just war pre-emptive invasion of Iraq. The letter was written by Richard D. Land, president of the Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission of the Southern Baptist Convention. It was co-signed by Chuck Colson, founder of Prison Fellowship Ministries, Bill Bright, chairman of Campus Crusade for Christ, James Kennedy, president of Coral Ridge Ministries, and Carl D. Herbster, president of the American Association of Christian Schools.

this is Chirstendom.

Sex abuse by Roman Catholic priests has cost the U.S. church at least $2.3 billion since 1950. Here are some of the largest known payouts to victims since the crisis erupted in 2002 in the Archdiocese of Boston:

- Archdiocese of Los Angeles, 2007, agrees to pay $660 million to about 500 people.

- Diocese of San Diego, Friday, agrees to pay $198 million to 144 people.

- Diocese of Orange, Calif., 2004, $100 million for 90 abuse claims.

- Diocese of Covington, Ky., 2006, up to $84 million for more than 350 people.

- Archdiocese of Boston, 2003, $84 million for 552 claims.

- Diocese of Oakland, Calif., 2005, $56 million to 56 people.

- Archdiocese of Portland, Ore., 2007, agrees to pay about $52 million to 175 victims to emerge from bankruptcy protection. Sets aside another $20 million for any future claims.

- Diocese of Spokane, Wash., 2007, agrees to pay $48 million for about 150 claims to emerge from bankruptcy protection.

- Diocese of Sacramento, Calif., 2005, pays $35 million to 33 people.

- Archdiocese of Louisville, Ky., 2003, $25.7 million to 243 victims.

- Diocese of Tucson, Ariz., 2005, agrees to fund a settlement trust worth about $22 million for more than 50 victims to emerge from bankruptcy protection.

BOTH ARE CRACKING THE BIGGEST ONE Catholic Church and just right after all evangelicals church, after Ted Haggard evangelicals are not well seen.
