Yes, a lot of the neocons who pushed for the war with Iraq did so in order to protect Israel.
It's not to say that Israel forced us to go make war on Iraq, but that it's supporters of Israel had a big influence on the decision. It's doubtful we would have gone to war without those neocons, supporters of Israel, Paul Wolfowitz, Scooter Libby, Judith Miller, Billy Christal and all pushing it.

Not at all. I think the war in Iraq was simply our good intentions that didn't get our full attention.
Had we gone in the way we were supposed to. Secured the borders and disarmed the country we could have already been out of there. Instead we went in half assed and have maintained our halfassed measures to this day.
Put in 4 times as many troops that we have right now and do the job correctly and we will be out of there within 180 days.

i personally think that bush went to war to try to jump start our economy after spending a whole pile of money that he didn't have and acquiring a debt of 8.5 trillion dollars didn't work
were starting in on a depression and not very many people realize it really
and with a debt the government will have a hard time getting us out of it again
