I'd see if you can talk him down in price.....that seems a little high. The fork is junk if you're going to do any jumps or drops more than a couple feet high, so you might want to look for a deal on a jump fork. The rest of the bike is decent and the chainguide is a nice upgrade.
I'd shoot for $350 if he'll take it, and work up from there. You might be able to sell the fork for $50 to $90 and put it towards a different one if you want to do that.

The person holding the bike is a she, I've never seen blokes with hips like that!
For the price, I would say ...YES...
Its very versatile, will perform solidly and is in good nick.
