JWs refuse the public office cannot take any part in the politics?

Do you ever vote secretly or have you accepted this view of the organization?

Patric C: I am not so sure if there is only one of you. You do not give an answer.

One more time. I have a life. And I find it important to discuss about these doctrinal differences since JWs claim to be Christians.

Ishvarla: You need to remember that satan did not have any authority to give Jesus that 'promise'. And we are not worshiping the President.

However, it is very comforting to me that JW will never be the President.

I am fine with Christians not wanting to be involved in political matters.

Consider, when Satan was tempting Jesus, he offered him control of the world for one act of worship. Jesus turned him down. Why would a Christian take control of one part of the world for YEARS of servitude to very unChristian acts??

No, I don't vote. I have accepted Jesus' stand on it.

You might be interested to know that one of my Mom and Dad's studies years ago, explained to them that, he had been reading the Bible and, well, he thought being politically involved was wrong. He was afraid they would laugh at him, or scold him as members of other faiths had done. How relieved he was to know that Witnesses, as Christians, recognise this same fact.

Often on here various ones comment on my being unpatriotic, or unAmerican, or a coward, etc. because I don't support the nation I was born in. I often wonder, if I was born in Iraq or China or Russia, etc, and became a Christian, and as such wouldn't fight against America, would I still be considered a coward in America, or a hero????

Technically, Jehovah's Witnesses can vote (see The Watchtower of November 1, 1999, pages 28,29). Almost uniformly, however, they choose not to.

They believe that God's Messianic Kingdom is a real government which will soon replace all human governments. Jehovah's Witnesses consider themselves to be ambassadors or envoys of God's government, and so believe that they must demonstrate political and nationalist neutrality.

(John 18:36) Jesus answered: “My kingdom is no part of this world

(Daniel 2:44) God of heaven will set up a kingdom... It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, and it itself will stand to times indefinite

When Jehovah's Witnesses do choose to vote, they typically write in the name "Jehovah" or "Jesus". Sadly, most humans are unwilling to swear allegiance to either of those names; that saddens but does not surprise Jehovah's Witnesses.

(John 15:18-19) If the world hates you, you know that it has hated me before it hated you. If you were part of the world, the world would be fond of what is its own. Now because you are no part of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, on this account the world hates you.

Clearly, if many or most Jehovah's Witnesses recognize God's government by Christ to be a reality, does it seem likely that they would harbor some secret desire for prominence in some other government?

It is quite a relief to be frank since Jeremiah himself said that it is not for earthling men to direct his own steps (Jer. 10:23) If men cannot direct his own step, how can he run the country? Besides, to echo some of the points already made, such as these scriptures: John 17:16: "They are no part of the world, just as I [Jesus] am no part of the world."

John 6:15; "Jesus, knowing they [the Jews] were about to come and seize him to make him king, withdrew again into the mountain all alone."

......it is clear then that Jesus himself did not involve himself in politics. People wanted to make him King but what did he do? Did he ask for more votes? No. He ran away from these people. Why? Because his Kingship did not belong to this world...

So, why should Christians today engage in politics? Just like Christ, we are not part of this world. Thefore, I do not vote. I am sure you know that not all citizens of their country vote during election.

Only Jehovah's Kingdom with Jesus being his chosen King will bring peace on Earth. We do not rely on men.

I for one am glad.

Having watched what the office of the President does to the individual I find it amazing that ANYONE would want it.

In the long run it is a thankless job that one is underpaid to do. The toll on the individual is almost shocking.

Why would I wish that on one of my brothers?

JW's believe in Gods politics. they believe that "Why go into this worlds politics if Gods just going to end it."
I don't know for sure, but I think if your a JW you can vote but they suggest not to. There reasoning is to be not part of this world. But I may be wrong

ha ha ha ha ha

that one is funny , we feel pretty great cause we are not involving in the politics that are ruled by Satan.

I had never voted cause I believe that Only God´s kingdom that will destroy all humans goverments (Daniel 2:44) can solve all our problems.

Jesus Christ will destroy all of them cause are under Satan ´s control, why get involved with something that Jesus will destroy that would be pretty fool.

If you know a building is going to be destroy it, would you spent your money and your time painting that builduing?

if you do that you are catalogated as a fool, exactly the same.

And no we don't!!!!! We are happy taking the guidance of God found in the Bible..... and happily waiting the new system of things that Jehovah promise... A Paradise earht forever.
