(Okay I will admit it. My sister kept bugging me to ask this question, but she phrased it as follows:

Question #2: What do you expect from a friend?

Some one that is honest with you and to you. Some one that you can tell some thing to and will keep it to them selves. To be there for each other when you need a friend. And someone that will not stab you in the back.

1.Avoiding the participation of gossip about a friend
2.Preferring a friend's feelings and desires above your own.
3.Being able to discern a friend's unspoken emotions and having a timely word, for all occassions.
4.Being honest...even when a word of rebuke in love,is the protocol.
5.Believing the best of a friend even when overwhelming evidence seems to be contradictory to proven positive character traits.
6.Tell the truth...even if feelings are at stake...

Love and treat your friend as you would want to be treated.
Trust me....nobody is perfect but it will definitely improve a friendship and make it last!

I expect to be treated with the same respect, honesty, and love I show towards a friend.

I expect a friend to realize when I am ranting about something, it does not define me, just my temporary state of insanity. So he/ she doesn't have to point out how insane I'm being, he/she knows I will realize it once the rant is over, tho I don't mind if they throw me a hint. He/she does not ask me to go along with something known to them that is against my convictions even tho it may not be to theirs.

a friend is someone who can finish your sentence for you and then you both laugh

My sister sent me a wonderful card once and it was two little girls playing on swings and they had these big old purses on their arms---really cute and then she wrote inside it---and there was candy bars in the purses! I thought Yes!!! how nostalgic and wonderful thinking about those days and she was right---the candy bars would have been the finishing touches to the whole day--swings, candy bars, and big purses! what could a little girl want more?

A friend is the guy who cleans up throw up at 3am when you are too drunk to make it to the bathroom. I don't drink so you can figure out which guy I was.

Essentially boiling that statement down a friend is the person who does the things in life that you aren't capable of doing.

The two main things are Honesty and Sincerity. If you dont have that, then its not a true friendship. You should always have each others back.*
