Ok, I know you Christians believe the Bible is valid.

You say there are evidence all over the world happening everyday that proves that God exits.

You also say that you got faith in your belief and you have a relationship with God; you actually talk to him and He talks back spiritually.

If so, then how come other cults and religions got the exact same evidence to back their belief up and they also got faith and they also feel connections to their god.

No one would be pretending to have faith; they have it because they really believe they have it, just as Christians.

So yes, I am open to the possibility of a god or some divine interventions in our life but I don't believe any human knows what it is.

Any religion in this world don't know it.

The fact is that if one religion is right then the rest are wrong.
Most probably all are wrong.

But if one were to be right, why are you Christians so sure that you are right when others feel just as strongly as you?

Don't tell me that's why you got faith and you know for sure that you are right because Jesus speaks to you and you see all the evidence around the world.

That is not a good answer as every religion has that feeling.

Ofcourse you would believe you feel something as it is your own religion.

But everyone has that feeling not only you, so that is not the answer I want.

Who knows, maybe one day Allah comes to judge you Christians to hell.

How can you be so sure?

Prophesy.

Prophesy is the simplest answer of many that God gives for His proof.

One of 380 is this....In Daniel, written humdreds of years before Jesus Christ ever walked the planet, gave the EXACT date that he would die on the cross. Read daniel and the 70 weeks.

Please don't base your beliefs on American Christianity...It's almost pathetic as a majority. Most of the christians here get their theology from the back of christian T-shirts or their favorite christian song.

The God of the bible is real, seek Him out and bow to Him now before you are judged.

I don't want to Hijack this thread, but....

I have a question for Don H, how did you get to be a top contributor? Jesus prayed to Abba, not Allah. Please share what translation you study from the most. By the way, Abba means daddy (not father).

To AXEL-Dude, aside from Islam and Judaism, Christianity is the only religion that has a written record that is historically correct. Jewish believers only use the first half of the book (Old Testament). The Muslims have their own book, but the Muslims do claim a common ancestry with Jews and Christians, ALL are descendants of Abraham.

There is no other religion outside the big three that have a written record that has been verified through archaeological evidence. No other religions or cults have ANY evidence similar to what is contained within the Holy Bible or even the Koran.

You admit that there may be a God. You are just not so sure that it is the God that Christians worship. You appear to be condemning Christians because they have made a determination who GOD is. I would encourage you to stop trying to incite people by your posts on Y!A and do some research of your own. Obtain a copy of "The Evidence Demands a Verdict" by Josh McDowell. Read his book and then prove him and his assertions/conclusions wrong.

Good luck finding the truth, I hope that you soon find who the real GOD is!

Every religion will have people believe in certain values, principles, attitudes, precepts, statutes, etc. to uphold and live by. The fact of the matter is that many religions are man made and carried by tradition throughout generations.
However a religion or rather a way of life....God's way to live in this sin-filled broken, confused world is the Christian life by not only reading what's in the Bible, put believing in it, and not only believing in it but also putting it into practice and applying those beliefs to your personal life.
There are some religions like Islam for example that advocate and promote violence simply because what their man-made religion dictates the followers of that particular faith should believe in at all costs.
Other religions like the Mormon faith believe that their jesus will someday return to the state of Missouri and that when people die someday....we all will NO ONE can refute that will one day become like a god......NOT GOD but like a god. Obviously there are alot of religions out there that have become a cult or a false religion. No my friend I believe many people don't want believe in God and Jesus who are the same person and the Bible because as the saying goes, "The Truth Hurts" People feel uncomfortable reading and hearing what the Bible says about sin, hell, and not living the way you want to, but instead living a life according to God's standards with the help of Jesus His son living in you when you accept as Lord & Savior, you will be indwelled with the Holy Spirit....the 3rd person of the trinity and you will experience first hand what joy really is, peace, love, compassion for others, a LIFE OF TRUTH NOT LIES AND CONFUSION!!!. I will pray for you. Hoped my answer helped you struggle with your question that I am so thankful I DID NOT AVOID!! God bless. Peace out.

GOD has always had a people since the very beginning.GOD has also had a message for his people over the years.there have been many religious reformers who at that time in history had a vital message to share with the world.GODS people are all over this planet! they are not one race or religion in particular. i think GODS people are his people because of the conviction of his truth and living their lives as GOD has commanded.no man by works or faith will be in heaven ! a person who is a really good person, law abiding citizen but does not know and accept JESUS CHRIST as lord and savior will not be in heaven.that is why so many will not have a home in heaven because they want to follow false religions and bow down to statues and put a man in a robe and pretend he is next to GOD and try to change the plain and simple language of the bible to cover their own lies and hypocrisy! there will be people of all faiths in heaven and there will be many others who will not be there because they are liars and the truth is not in them! but that is for GOD alone to judge! AMEN!

Hmm

Christianity is directly linked to Judaism which is basically the only lasting religion from that ancient of times.

From the new testament to the old testament, for all the prophesies of the old testament to be fulfilled by Jesus alone being the Son of God, the odds were 10 to the 64th power. Which is more than one in a billion.

More manuscripts have been found of the old testament and new testament than ANY other work of literature such as Homer's the Odyssey, the Iliad or Beowulf.

Muhammed didn't even show up on the scene until after Christ's resurrection and popularity stirred up, and he tries to create a relatively similar story making it hard to give him much credibility for originality.

The Koran is one of the most inaccurately translated and copied books of sacred literature.

Errors in the bible from changing the translations to grammatical errors for about 2000 years is .01%

I've researched them all. It's the most structurally, scientifically, and historically sound.

Not only that, I do have the spiritual assurance that Christians claim.

But that's just me. You have to your own personal experiences. I can't explain it to you.

i have a ton of reasons, but i'll just list a few:

torah codes-

jewish tradition maintains that the torah (the books of genesis, exodus, leviticus, numbers, and deuteronomy) is encoded with secret information- all the knowledge of the universe, past, present, and future- and it's up to us to find them. i realize that it sounds far-fetched, but a study was done in 1999 by a group of scientists and mathematicians to see what kind of things are encoded, or whether they are actually there or not. the results, which were published in 'statistical science magazine,' were overwhelming. the probability of this happening was so low that the US pentagon did their own study of it. here are some of the findings of the third group who tested this:
http://www.torahcodes.co.il/

the fibonacci sequence, or 'golden ratio' is a mathematical sequence that is found in about 90% of all plants in nature, and in most natural entities, including the milky way. several other scientists, clergeymen, and mathematicians have created computer programs to search for numerical patterns that match the fibonacci sequence, and again, in spite of virtually impossible mathematical odds, have found them:
http://www.carelinks.net/books/lp/2006/ratio.htm

prophecy-

the book of isaiah accurately predicted the manner in which Christ would be crucified. isaiah wrote it roughly 400 years before the persians invented crucifixion, and 700 years before the romans crucified Jesus.

it is almost universally agreed that Jesus fulfilled 48 major and 161 minor old testament messianic prophecies. the odds of any one man achieving even the first 48 successfully are so minute that i do not even know how to express it in numbers. it's something like one thousandth of one trillionth.

so those are just a few reasons why i can rest assured that i'm believing in the right things. i could go into the validity of the eye-witness accounts given in the synoptic gospels, or name some of the many secular historians (try searching 'josephus,' 'tacitus,' or 'pliny the younger' for starters) who give accounts of Jesus' life, death, and resurrection, but i think this should suffice for now.

if you're really interested in learning more about the validity of christianity, feel free to email me through my profile.

peace,
drew

Interesting question. One must look at the truth claims of each religion/holy book and see if they match up to reality. Evidence plays a role, sure, but evidence is objective not subjective. Which one has the most objective evidence?
Ultimately, the answer does not come by human reasoning...a pound or so of gray matter cannot figure out the mysteries of the universe. The acceptance of biblical truth comes by the empowering of the Holy Spirit. He authenticates the Bible's validity. I know you do not except this as your question indicates but it is the way of things. God gives His evidences and then commands that we respond. Then He gives us the means by which we can respond. This is problematic since as humans we want all the control and none of the responsibility for control.

I will address one portion of your question only.
---------------
'- the possibility of a God or some Divine Interventions in our life but I don't believe any human knows what it is.'
---------------
There are always humans that know for sure that God exists.
People are looking for them constantly, but they are very elusive.
The reason being, that when a person is ready, the Teacher finds the student, the student never finds the Teacher.

The "Truth" finds the student, the student never finds the "Truth".

*Well said, Don H!....
*The Syrian (Syriac) Aramaic translation of the word God is actually Allaha (God the Creator). This was the dialect that Jesus (PBUH) spoke!
*Tuff, you should do a better job of researching.

The Bible tells us there are many so called gods ...but there is only one true God ...the Living God...it tells us clearly who that is....Jesus Christ.....it doesn't say any of the names of other gods as being the true living God only the name of Jesus.....there are many false gods and man can easily be deceived by what is around him......we must be careful.....but whatever choice one makes that is the choice he will be stuck with ...rather the right choice or the wrong....so we must choose wisely and be absolutely sure who we choose to worship...

Because different people believe different ways, does not mean that they do not believe in the one true God.
People just look at Him in different ways. But God is still there for all. He said where two or more are gathered in My name, there I will be in the mist of them.

Satan has a counterfeit for everything that God has. Why do you think so many people are led astray, like you?

The Bible says Hell enlarges itself daily. So, people really don't need you to turn their faith around, Satan is much better at the game than you are, but I guess he he glad to have all your help.
