I believe that Jesus would be quite disappointed. and anyone who beliefs that a mythical spirit is controlling the ideas of the christian church is ludicrus.
most of the modern church's are based on controlling the masses and gaining money / power.
The catholic church as it is was created by a roman (constantine) who wanted to be able to control the population. the original christians that were decendants of Jesus and his apostiles were fed to the lions for their beliefs.
They use jesus and the threat of hell to keep people in line.
it is a truly lost cause now.

I think Jesus would be displeased at what many people have done, supposedly in his name. There are many divisions, and much of his message has been distorted and misrepresented. His plan, however, involved a church:
Matthew 16:18
And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.
So he did want his followers to become a unified body, working together to share his message in the world. I don't think he wanted all these different denominations and silly things that divide us. I think he wanted us to love him and love others. Loving others is a far more effective way to demonstrate his message than many of the other methods people have used over the years.
I think he demonstrated that he hates hypocrisy, greed, pride, and so many of the things that the Pharisees and Sadducees exemplified. I think he hates it when those things appear in our churches as well.
But just because men fall short in their attempts doesn't mean that his plan is not a good one. I attend 'a' church that tries to follow Jesus' plan more than any I've been to before, and it's a wonderful place to worship and be a part of Christ's family. It doesn't claim to be the only place to go, but simply a part of the body of Christ. The Bible gives us a blueprint, but some are better at trying to follow it than others. I guess our human nature gets in the way, which is why we need Jesus in the first place.

THE RELIGION OF LOVE
THE RELIGION of Love has been misunderstood, because the concept of love has in many ways been distorted and misrepresented, for the greater part of true love is severity!
What is now called love is anything but love! If all so-called love moere relentlessly sifted to the bottom, nothing would remain but selfishness, vanity, weakness, desire for ease, concept or instinct.
Genuine love will take no account of what gratifies the other, of what is agreeable to him and gives him joy, but will only direct itself towards what will benefit him, regardless of whether it affords him pleasure or not. That is genuine love and service!
If, therefore, it is written: "Love your enemies", it means: "Do that which will benefit them! Punish them if they cannot otherwise be made to understand!" That is serving them! But justice must prevail, for love cannot be separated from justice - they are one!
Misplaced indulgence would mean fostering the faults of the enemies and thus letting them slide further on the downward patte. Would that be love? On the contrary, by acting thus one would burden oneself with guilt!
Through the unexpressed wishes of man alone the Religion of Love has deteriorated to a religion of laxity, as also the personality of the Bringer of Truth, Christ Jesus, has been dragged down to one of weakness and yielding, characteristics which He never possessed. It was just because of His all-embracing Love that He was so harsh and severe among the men of intellect.
That He was often overcome with sadness is natural when one considers His high mission and the human material He had to deal with. This sadness had nothing whatever to do with weakness.
After eliminating all distortions and dogmatic restrictions, the Religion of Love will be a doctrine of the strictest consistency, in which no weakness or illogical indulgence is to be found.

Hi. This may not be the type of answer you are looking for but this is an update .The Bible is redundant. The apparitions of Jesus and Mary tell us what we should do. The problem is that 99.9% of Christians refuse to believe in these apparitions. One reason is the seers are mainly Catholic children. Some Christians ask why does Mary only appear to Catholics if the apparitions are real ? Of coures the Catholic Church is not very popular with most Christians. You can see by their remarks they ridicule and tell lies about it.They do not realise they are offending God and commiting sin. If they believe in God only through reading the Bible,i can't understand why they can't at least accept the possibility of apparitions because of the messages from them which are pretty good evidence for them.
Mary said 'There is but one God,but people have enforced unnatural separation. One cannot believe,be a Christian,if he does not respect other religions as well. You do not really believe in God if you make fun of other religions."So people stop ridiculing the Catholic Church even if it is wrong in your opinion.
Jesus is only concerned about conversion. Religion does not come into it.Time is running out and many souls are being lost. The devil was given a century by God to exercise an extended power over the world. The devil chose the twentieth century .As we can see all around us,everyone is dissatisfied, they cannot abide each other.Look at the excessive number of divorces, and abortions, which is the work of the devil.Medjugorje 1981.Apparitions of Mary. Will give each seer 10 messages or secrets of happenings that will occur in the near future. She is appearing to the seers to tell the world of the urgency to return to the ways of God.Mary said the only word i wish to say is -conversion,to the whole world i am saying this to tell you to tell everybody.
Sr. Faustina Kowalska was asked by Jesus to proclaim to the world a new gift,an amnesty for mankind,a way to become new Christians, cleansing our souls of all past sins, and obtaining complete remission of all punishment,by appealing to Our Father through the passion and merciful love of Jesus.Jesus said "Mankind will not have peace until it turns with trust to my mercy".
If you believe what i have written is a load of rubbish and pure nonsense ,you are entitled to your opinion.
EDIT.....Wow! Two "thumbs down" so far.Must be the part about "apparitions" ( not very popular.)

This is kind of like that Simpsons episode where Bart and Millhouse both say that its not the little differences that matter, but the big similarities in religions.
And then many years later there's a war going on because one side says that their message was "peace and love" and the other side says that their message was "kindness and honesty" (or something like that).
Jesus actually WAS trying to do something good for us, but over time it has been horribly twisted and warped.

None- Jesus isn't pronounced interior the Talmud in any respect- however human beings shop attempting to place him in. 'Pluni' is comparable to MR X- and does not examine with Jesus. the story of "Isha Acher" (yet another guy) - is from the scholars of Rabbi Akiva- an insignificant one hundred years or so AFTER the dying of Jesus- bit confusing for that to examine with him! LOL And so which you would be able to desire to flow on with all the different so observed as references to jesus- they're the two purely wishful thinking on the part of human beings reading the Talmud and attempting to create something to attack Jews with or purely undeniable daftness the place they take incidents out of time and out of context.

Mankind no matter the issue will always fault in situations and the spread of Christianity is no different. God got angry with the Jews and they are his chosen people! So I don’t expect anything to go perfectly. Do I think Jesus is happy with the way things are going? Well, sometimes yes and sometimes no.

I believed he is appalled, but then again, what else could he have expected. But he still did good, his organized religion has left the world in a better place, generally.

No, I believe Jesus is very disappointed, grieved, and saddened, not just by those who won't accept Him,but also by those who have accepted Him as Lord, but compromise their faith to conform to the world. This is something I also struggle with daily,so I'm not judging anyone. Just telling it how I see it.
