Try looking at a baby, or new born animal. or look at the human bodies ability to be so damaged by violence and then to heal and become whole again. Those who deny the existence of God are so lost. They will never understand. I thank my beautiful lucky stars that I was taught to believe...

The world is beautiful=there is a God.
Not so much! I love life not for what happens afterward, but for what is here, now, real, and concrete.
Plus, there are many things that aren't great about the world. Things from prejudice and hatred to natural disasters and global warming.
And who's to say that these wonderful things were from God? I think they came about naturally after billions of years. Am I wrong? Maybe. But even though the idea of a supreme being is comforting, there is even greator splendor in the wide open spaces of atheism.

beauty is a human perception, as is ugliness by the way. in contrast nature simply is. i think we may both agree that there are no gods in nature. it's not that i deny so god much as i think that there is no good reason to believe that anything other than natural things exist.

How can you deny that the beauty is the result of beautiful mathematics not ugly hateful gods. I am in awe of the beauty of mathematics which results in the beauty we see, not gods which people make up to justify their hatred of others.

I completely agree.... I don't know how people can even look at the human body and think that it just randomly came about and evolved....
Nothing that complex can just "be" without being created... by a higher being (God)
and how can someone walk outside and look up into the sky at night and not just be in awe of his creation... its just amazing I cannot even fathom it all. All the galaxies, stars, planets, moons, etc. It just awesome!

god and beauty are seperate from each other. I am an atheist and an artist. So don't act like i don't see beauty. The reason I don't believe in god is because there is no evidence or proof. Show me evidence or proof and i'll believe. until then i don't.
