My sisters and I have inheirted jewelery from my mother's estate. Each piece of jewelery has a different montary value. Do you think the best way to divide the jewelery is to have everyone choose the piece that they want and to "payoff" the other siblings for their choice?

just divide the jewelry, piece by piece and be happy for your mom's memories and the nice things she left you.

you girls need not be petty about the value... these were your mother's treasures, and you can't put a monetary value on them.

my two sisters and i haven't spoken since about a year after my mom's death. why? GREED!

please, save your relationships and realize that all of your mom's worldly possessions are priceless! and leave it at that.

No. Take what was inherited to you and let the others battle it out if they decide to make an issue of it and fight about it.

no, either take it all and have it appraised and split it evenly, or sell it and split the money. or don't worry about the money and just pick the things each of you want and be happy with that.
