Well, often doctors will suggest you take your rescue inhaler before you work out. Another suggestion is to concentrate on what you are eating. For exercising, you could walk--that usually doesn't bring on an attack. Take the inhaler first before you go out walking.

Cut out about 500 calories from your current diet. Make sure you're eating at LEAST 1,200 calories a day, though.

Try getting SOME form of exercise daily, for at least an hour. If the asthma is bad enough to keep you from being able to at least walk that much, you can buy a pedal exerciser.

You can use it while sitting on the couch and watching TV. :D It's not hard on anything, so maybe that's a good choice.

I don't know much about asthma, so if you feel like I'm treating you like an old person... I'm sorry. D:

I feel your pain. I've had asthma for 14 years now and have seen several doctors. The truth is, there is no known cure for asthma at the moment. But the symptoms can be prevented. It really depends on what causes your brother's asthma. Mine is usually dust and hot weather. But I think the universal method is using the control inhaler.

I cured my Asthma the natural way?

You really should talk to your Dr. and see if he can line you up with a safe program. If you are on an inhaler, it might have a steroid in it, which will add weight on you. My husbands therapist suggested he do Ti Chi. It is a low impact exercise, ( he had emphysema)
