We often "create" beauty marks but we never color enhance an existing one. IT should be left alone because you would never be able to monitor changes - this is recommended by pretty much every dermatologist you would talk to.

Hi
I have the exact same situation. Except my beauty mark is above my lip to the side of my nose. It's a really nice location. When I was younger it was a dark freckle. Very pretty and sexy looking. Now that Im getting older, it's just turning into sort of an ugly mole, and isnt as dark and prominant as it had been before and it's a bit larger.
I talked to a tattoo artist recently about tattooing it. And he said "NO way" He said it can cause it to begin to change and become malignant even if it wouldnt have before. And like a previous answerer said it can hide any future changes that would indicate a skin cancer.
He did reccomend having it removed surgically and then he could go ahead and tattoo over the small scar that would be left there after healing. I might go ahead and do that!
Good luck to you!!

I wouldn't take the risk.
There could be possible problems with getting tattooed over the one you have.
You could get it done on the other side, maybe.
Or you could try getting a Monroe piercing.
Its sort of like a beauty mark.

I don't really know whether it works on beauty marks, but my friend had a scar from a burn on the forearm and he went to a Tattoo artist and was matched with a color almost identical to his skin color. It was a tattoo of his own scar.

Yeah, it's just a really small tattoo and will be the shop min. to cover supplies and how ever much time it takes. The shop I use has a $43 min. for even tiny tattoos. Don't price hunt, find someone you trust and they can do it.

i've herd that beauty marks are moles. only, beautiful.. and i know that moles are toxic if opened up. the tatoo needle would definatly make you bleed, so chances are that your beauty mark would get ink inside it and make things even more complicated. however i am not an expert; may i suggest that you speak to your doctor about it or at least a tatoo artist.
best of luck.

I would tattoo around it, but not actually ON or in it! Ask a doctor first, ok...
