Tell your mom that your expensive contacts will be ruined if you don't keep them wet, and that you are risking injury if you don't take them out, and you are risking infection if you don't soak them in the proper contact lens solution.

You need that solution, so you can ask someone else for a ride, and it doesnt need to be a pharmacy its at just about every store.
And as far as if you cant go, then leave them in H20 but try to not make this a habit because it is bad for the contacts after a long period of time!

Ask her very nicely to take you to the pharmacy, or the nearest Wal-Mart, or anywhere that sells anything drug-store related. Contact solution is the only thing you should be storing your contacts in.
Oh, and by the way, water is not the best option(it will feel very dry when you put the contacts back in), you likely will not be able to see with your contacts in the morning if you leave them in, and PLEASE don't put them in your mouth - bad breath happens for a reason, and you don't want that bacteria in your eyes, for chrissake!

I dont know what you can do for the immediate problem, but as a Mom of a kid that used to wear contacts, let your Mom know before you completely run out so this can be avoided in the future.

you can't put it in regular water. you don't get the solution from a pharmacy, either. walk to the store and buy solution unless you want to say bye-bye to those contacts.

Boil some water with a dash of salt in it, let cool down and use it.
Do not wear them until you can get regular solution and then rinse them off thoroughly and store them for at least six hours before wearing them.

I use a few drops of plain saline eye wash. The kind that is used for cleaning and storing your lenses. It's a lot cheaper than contact-specific eye drops.
