If you have experienced five or more of these symptoms within the same two week period--especially if a depressed mood or loss of interest or pleasure are among your symptoms--this could be indicative of an episode of depression. The symptoms should not be accounted for by another illness, drugs of abuse or prescription medications.
1. Depressed Mood
A person may report feeling "sad" or "empty" or may cry frequently. Children and adolescents may exhibit irritability.

2. Decreased Interest or Pleasure

9. Thoughts of Death
A depressed person may have recurring thoughts of death, especially thoughts of suicide, with or without a specific plan.

But you don't most of those symptoms and what I find very positive is that you are fine while at school, which means you have not alieneted yourself from socail contact. The alination is usually the hardest part of depression.

You seem to need more socialising, you seem to feel lonely and some of your problems are quite common for a teenager. Get out there, start exercising, talk to your school councelor.

I would't reach for any antidepressants just yet, I think you will get out of this a bit more emotinal state just take care of youself better and work on your self confidence, dreams and goals and mingle.

Best of luck to ya!

Wow....well as a teen, I guess everybody's emotional health weakens which makes us think that our lives suck. I'm 13 and I have problems in life but I know they will get better. There's no point in crying. Crying won't help you feel better and it's not physically healthy either so just forget about your problems and try to think about positive things....It works perfectly for me.

I think you are definitely depressed. I would go to the doctor and see what they think though, just to get a professional opinion. Then maybe you can get on some anti-depressants and they will help your moods.

There's a good chance you are and you should get this diagnosed and, if necessary, treated ASAP.

There is both medication and talk therapy that addresses such a situation.

Yes, I do think you're depressed. You should please try to speak to someone - a counselor or a doctor - who might be able to give you some advice. You really need help immediately as you're clearly having some very intense feelings. Please talk to someone, anyone. Get yourself help.
