I am only a freshman in highschool. I know alot of girls in grade 12 and 11 I like, flirting a bit and get along well, but I am not attracted to any girls in grade 9, I don't like talking to them as much as they seem to be trying way too hard to look good and are usually idiots in class, and I am much more smooth at talking to girls in grade 12.
Why is this? Most guys in my grade like girls their grade, and can't get along usually with older girls in grade 12.

Because grade 12 girls are far more physically developed and mature.

Maybe you're just more mature for your age, and consider girls in your grade to be trying too hard, and come across as shallow, whereas older girls are more sure of themselves and have more self-confidence. They can be more natural. Usually, girls mature quicker than boys, but you must be a rare exception, because you feel more comfortable with an older crowd. There's nothing wrong with that, but don't give up on younger girls completely. Maybe you'll be lucky and find one who matches your maturity level, because as a rule, older girls are hesitant to date younger guys. At least that's the way it was when I was in high school. I think you;d be happy to know you aren't alone, I have this exact issue only in a little different setting. I'm a female college student and ive always been attracted to older men. Im much more mature than the guys in my college and in high school i have always liked guys two-3 grades ahead! Don't worry, as you get older age doesnt matter as much ;)

Well, from experience, it's cuz your much more mature than you give yourself credit for. You want a girl who has intelligence to offer. I'm in grade 11 and sometimes, I have better communication with girls in college than I do with girls my age. I get along better with some girl I just met whose 19 than I do with some of my other female friends my age. You have a more open mind, this is great cuz you won't have much trouble dating. You can probably express yourself more and in a better way.

you matured i am suprised since you are only in 9th grade but yeah i am a freshman in highschool andmost of my friends would do anything to look "cute" but most of them look like sluts or you can tell they r trying to hard anyway yeah you matured and that why you are into the more matured girls

I think it's because older women come on to teenage boys!! I have seen this time and again. I know this lady that has affairs with all her sons friends, because she is a sexy lady and looks like a teen herself. This bothers me, but it does go on, and more than most people would admit. Good Luck!!!

You`re more mature than most. Women your own age are just little girls to you!
When I was in high school, I dated a stripper in her thirties! I never dated girls my own age. I have always prefered the more mature woman. They are more pleasurable in the sack!
