That was a cool website. Being an atheist/humanist of course I can see the flaws in his observations. He assumes that the universe "began" at a finite time and place, the big bang. But we really don't know what the big bang is, in fact some scientists have theorized that it may not be a "bang" as so much of a "bounce" Meaning that the universe could really be just a cycle of birth death and rebirth.
But for my own personal beliefs, I just see the universe as always being here. It was never created in the first place. The universe is in fact "infinitely old" so a creator is not needed. Humans (and perhaps other life in the universe) placed a creator in the picture to help us understand things better. But as always, science and reason and logic can do a much better job of it. And you don't need faith to believe in science, you just need an open mind.
I will even take it one step further. If the universe wasn't created and has always been here. Then, in a way, the universe is meaningless. That matter evolves into consciousness and must come to terms with this in order to evolve into a fully aware and sentient being. We are not there yet because we still hang on to beliefs that say the entire Universe and "our" planet was created all for us. And that creator looks just like us.
It takes faith to believe in god. For people like me faith is not enough. I would rather know than believe.

I think you have found a website with beautiful pictures and ugly non-sequitor reasoning. Congratulations on that.
Do you think the beauty in those pictures is purely an attribute of that which is photographed, or could the beauty also be your/our attraction to elements of nature and life that has worked it's way into prominence by way of evolution. Imagine a colony of people who found desolation and death to be utopian, and flocked in that direction completely. They wouldn't (i actually mean didn't) last very long.
I wouldn't disagree that it takes a lot of "quantity" to get you excited, however, I would disagree if you were to say it takes a lot of "quality" to get you excited.

It is rhetoric that serves two purposes:
1. To make those who already believe more comfotable in their belief, thinking that science is on their side as well.
2. To give those on the edge a bit of a push, possibly letting them think that their decision is not entirely irrational.

Man was cerated in the image of God right? Or so says scripture. Therefore to answer this qustion we must look at mankind.
mankind is triune: spirit, soul, and body
see here:
1 Thess 5:
23: And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
So if man is triune so is God, since we are made in His image, and scripture backs up this trinity.
Now imagine if each part of you; spirit, soul, and body were given their own life. Wouldn't each part be still you? So it is with God. scripture even tells us that the Father and Jesus have their own life.
Joh 5:26
For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath
he given to the Son to have life in himself;

Went there, nothing new, still the same old thing ....... in summary ..... "All you see around us are created by god, therefore you have to have faith in it, blindly".
I sincerely doubt it takes a lot to make you excited.

Hey, kid; I've done with searching - I spent well over half my life looking for 'god'; he has never shown evidence of being.
IF he existed innocent children would not be subjected to abuse, violence or starvation - they are - therefore he is not.

I don't believe in a Trinity....I believe that God is spirit,,,,he came to Earth and took on the flesh of man,,,Jesus....he died and went back to Heaven,,then sent this spirit back to indwell all believers.....now how hard is that to understand...he always told you, he was one....one and the same...not different...one....
