HELL NO! there are dimensional differences in the Cartridges that should keep an M203 from Chambering the Mk19 Ammo.

But if it did the firer would die, M203 40mm Rounds are Low-Pressure allowing the use of an Aluminum Reciever. They use the Hi-Low Principle developed by Germany in WW2. Mk19 rounds are high pressure and will destroy any M203/M79 Launcher

Dale is incorrect.

The Mk-19 has more powder pushing it down the barrel and thus creates a higher chamber pressure.

Example: The Desert Eagle hand gun comes in a .50 caliber size, so does the M-2 HB machine gun. Although their rounds have the same caliber (diameter) the rounds ARE NOT interchangeable. They are different rounds altogether like the Mk-19 is a completely different round then a M-203.

You can however fire a M-203 round out of a Mk-19 but it takes actually placing the round on the face of the bolt by hand.

They are both technically 40mm but DO N0T try this. You would have to jam the Mk19 round into the breach of the 203 and then it would blow the hell up. To the marine (lower case intentional) who said it could be done you are full of crap. I carried the 203 in both Iraq and Afghanistan. The firing pin on the 203 is not even strong enough to fire a Mk19 round.

Years ago I was reading through the operator manual for an M203. In it there was one line that still sticks out in my mind. Warning: Do not use ammuniton designed for belt-fed grenade launchers in the M203... you may blow your head off! I'm not shi*ting about this either. Thought the language was kind of odd for an army manual. I'm pretty sure the manual's still floating around my parent's house somewhere.

The catcher would have to have a custom made glove about three times as thick as a normal one, and it would have to be attached to his hand. Using HGH or any other supplements probably wouldn't help him, except get him suspended by the MLB. Also, if the catcher caught it, wouldn't the grenade explode? I doubt this is possible. From a "joking" point of view, what if some 300 pound catcher sat on the grenade? It would probably end up the same way as the result of the catcher trying to catch the ball. Anyways, creative question. Thank you.

I was wrong in my answer. The M-203 cannot fire a M-19 round. It is the other way around. I saw the answers so I went and asked the armory Gunny and he set me straight. And to the guy who spelled Marine with a lower case "m" Yes, the firing pin is strong enough. The only problem is that the velocity of the rounds are different.
