can your skin actally turn orange when u eat too many carrots?

YES! Found this out with my first child--took him to the dr cause his skin was a funny color. The doc looked at him and asked what foods he was eating--his favorite baby foods were carrots,sqaush,and sweet potatoes and thus the reason for the orange skin tone.

my friends dad ate about 7 carrots a day, and he swears his skin turned orange, well orange tint really i guess, i'm sure he didn't look like a pumpkin or anything

i have heard that babies can be born w/ an orange tint if their mom at alot of carrots, so maybe.
