my mon told me she has added me to her american express card, i am just wondering how that will affect my credit. or if it will affect me in any way?

It depends if you are added as an authorized user it will do nothing to your credit and will not effect you at all. If you are added as a co applicant then it will effect your credit good if it is always paid on time and bad if it isn't.

It's a good way to establish credit for a minor. She adds you to her card and you have an instant credit history. Just make sure that the Amex card is in good standing because all of the good and bad activity on that card will follow you.

depends if she has good credit it Will help build up good history but if she has bad credit it could effect u negatively .

#1 - it means you can spend your mothers "credit"
#2 - you are in now way liable for any debt on the card and nothing is reported to any agency.
#3 - if your mother dies, you are liable for any purchase or debt with "your signature" on it (if they can prove it)
