They can be. How great any dog is depends on a lot of things: the parents health and temperment, early life experience, vet care, socialization, training, diet, love, and so on. Under bad circumstances, any dog can become a "bad" dog, whatever breed or breeds they might be. Be sure to do your research and look carefully at your options if you're thinking about getting a dog.

Yes, my daughter had 2. One died a few months ago at age 14. The other is 8 now. They were both great dogs. My grandson grew up with the older one.

they are great dogs! When getting one make sure to see the parents. I work at a vets office and we are starting to see some that aren't laid back, fearful and small for the breed. So check the parents to see how their temperament is and size.

Goldens are wonderful dogs - with a pretty even temperament. They are very willing to please, and will usually take to training very quickly. They are very intelligent.
The only real downside to them - they do have a lot of hair and shed a lot - they require a lot of brushing to keep the hair under control.

Yes the are most certainly! They are super family dogs and very smart. Learn very quickly, loyal, loves people and to go with their family everywhere, swim, hike and then just curl up beside you and sleep.

yes they are great great dogs but like any breed they have to be trained. i have seen goldens that aren't as good as they should be or could be but i blame it on the owners. and their lack of training

OMG, they are the best dogs well them and labs, i love dogs, especailly those kinds their, sweet, afectionate, and love people, they are defenentaly family dogs, also for little kids!
