What kind of meat are your trying to tenderize? A good cut of steak or roast shouldn't need any tenderizing, and a cheaper, fattier cut really just needs to be braised and cooked slowly to be tender. It's really all in the cooking process.

the best thig to do is buy a cut of meat , but if you need it more tender use a papaya rub and do this for a very short time less than 10 minutes because the papaya has acids and enzymes that will help break down the meat and make it more tender

buy a good cut, it must be aged and bled. tendersie with the blunt side of a chiness chopper or mallet. marinate for at least an hour in garlic, olive oil, wine, soy and tomato sauce. scrape off excess marinade. sear each side quickly at high heat to keep in juice. then cook each side at lower heat for about three minutes in overall heat (hot all round, niot just bottom, so put a heavy iron cover on the steak if cooking it in a fry pan). then rest the meat for at least three minutes before serving - if needed heat again for a few secs in microwave. the alternative is to cook meat really slowly and for a long time.

Blend a papaya smear it over or mix it with the meat. Let it set on 10 to 15 minutes then rinse it off. NO LONGER because if you there will be nothing left.

Use a tenderizer mallet and beat it. I also use a powdered tenderizer sprinkled on first if its really tough meat.

Buying a good steak is better than trying to tenderize a cheap cut. Sirlion, T-bone, Porterhouse, Filet M. - all good cuts. Sirlion is the best for the buck.

i usually marinade mine with italian dressing. adolfs meat tenderizer also works. if you get the right cuts, you wont need it. try getting chuck eye steaks, they are cheap and as good as any other steak you can get. if its a roast, just slow cook it.
