I've had atleast three dreams, not all the same, but they all involve me and my dad having intercourse. The first time I had the dream it was consentual, the second time it was rape, and the third time it was consentual. Does this mean that I was violated really young? I have no memory or even a thought in my mind that my dad had ever done that. My father also used to beat my mom, if that may have anything to do with it. Please help, because these dreams are really bothering me.

Alyssa, it is possible that some repressed memories could be surfacing for you, and you blanked it out of your conscious mind, you should consider looking for a good therapist to talk to, and see if you can find out if that is the case. It's also possible that the dreams are symbolic of some other kind of issue you are having with your father, but it will take some time for you to sit down with someone and try to sort out what the issue is. There are alot of caring people out here in answers, but that is some pretty serious stuff that you really ought to sit down one on one with a qualified professional to talk to about this, most of the people you meet out here aren't really qualified to address this sort of thing, and you would benefit more from talking one on one to somebody in person..........Good Luck...

I would think there is something about your dad rubbing you the wrong way. Sex is taboo when it comes to your parents so maybe you see your dad as taking advantage of someone or a situation, maybe you. Maybe you feel on one side like he is helping you and on another side that he is dominating you. Dreams about rape signify control in some way but you know your life better than me. I think him beating your mom left you with an impression of him that you maybe have a hard time accepting. ???

I think it may be reprseed memories of an earlier violation. If not, then your brains just sorting thoughts and feelings. One of which is you need to spend more time with your father; or your lacking a male role model in your life. It's usually the altter, but I wouldn't rule out the first.

Freud would say that you want to do your dad, but seeing as how yo say that he used to abuse your mum, maybe it is your subconcious putting you in the place that your mum is in. Maybe it's your subconcious telling you that you want to deal with this. If you have access to councellors, look into it, they may be of better help than stangers on the internet. This is serious and if ti really bothering you you should seek help.

tough thing would only make your days worse,so try to forget it whether they have happened or not,at least we have happiness now right?there are not enough time for us to enjoy,so why did you allow the bad memory take up it?
