I just started high school about 2 months ago
and i noticed that whenever you say bye (even on the phone) they never say anything. what is up with that?

its simple....
guys want to keep the relationship interesting so by not saying bye (witch is expected) it kinda leaves you hanging thats what they want. its their way of playing hard to get if a guy does this to you it means he likes you but he just wants to keep the relationship interesting :)
.... ive dated a guy like this i know from experince > they just want to keep you on your toes making you wonder "whats comming next?" -they dont want it getting boaring -thats how my guy was . it kinda hurt i cried a few times because i didnt think he liked me but DONT DO THAT i bet he likes you :)

girls on average say about 70,000 words in one day while boys say 7,000. Bye would just bring that up, and only some guys like talking.

They're young and rude. When I was your age I noticed the same thing. They'll grow up and stop doing that (most of them at least).

guys are pigs.
well, they have the brain of one at least.
they think that you know that they dont really say goodbye. they just kinda think that whenever you say goodbye, they're saying goodbye too, just not out loud.
i know, its weird, and girls will never get why they wont want to say bye, but its their nature.

Maybe, they feel it is cool like that, or because they know they will be talking to you again. Bye, is so final.

who cares? bye is just a word, if they say it or they dont, it doesnt mean anything. Maybe sometimes they feel like saying it and other times they dont. no big deal.

I've asked a bunch of guys that. They all say the same thing- "I was done talking".
Whatever. It's rude and not very considerate.
