I have read the Bible and the Koran and have prayed to both Allah and Jesus and can't make up my mind....

So I should flip a coin or what?

When I pray I feel strongly about both of them - equally.... But I know both cannot be true, but if I follow both of them, at least I'll be living a good life, right?

How does someone determine what is truth? There's good arguments for both sides, and it will take years and years of research to learn the truth behind all of them., but for now, I am compelled to believe both.

Of course I haven't looked at Judaism yet, either!

Seriously - someone please give me a sure-fire way to know which religion is right!!

I feel Mohammad in my heart as well as Jesus and praying to Allah and Jehovah all give the same feelings....

"If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That man should not think he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all he does."
James 1:5-8

Elijah went before the people and said, "How long will you waver between two opinions? If the LORD is God, follow him; but if Baal is God, follow him."
I Kings 18:21

do you remember what followed in this story?

Both religions follow the G-d of Abraham. Both recognize Jesus. The Quran has a bit of a different view as far as him being a messiah or not. The Quran covers concepts of all the major figures like the Christian faith. there is a messiah,dajaal or antichrist, Ellijah etc. I don't see them clashing very much in belief. However I have not read all of the Quran or the other Muslim holy books. Judaism as well is the original source of Abraham and the G-d of. I think if you stick with study versus peoples unjust opinions you will find the proper medium for your self. Judaism believes in a Messiah that comes from the line of David, they just don't believe it is Jesus. Out of all three they can agree to the same G-d and there will be a messiah. The biggest problem is who that might be. The rest is small ritualistic details or how something is viewed like dogma,deeds, etc.

You said much about how you feel. All religions have problems, as do atheism and agnostic beliefs. All religions have skeletons in their historical closet. You were right about it taking a long time to research all of them. A life time would not be enough. The shortcut is what is most reasonable not how you feel about them. Feelings can change or come and go with your moods but the truth doesn't change. (although what we believe about truth can and should change as we learn more and more)

LDS or Mormons can be ruled out, for instance, because they say that jews sailed to the USA and established great cities none of which can be found. With jews christians and muslims, are a different story because they all share the same the same archeology, history and prophets. The archeology of the bible is very accurate. But they all share that. And they all say they are the only true faith, there are many major contradictions between them so to say a person believes in all of them means she or he either don't know enough about them or don't really believe any of them.

Would you like to discuss this more?

Well, from the opinion of a Muslim, praying to Allah and Jehovah SHOULD bring the same feelings as they are one entity with different names. But you should follow your heart. You've done your research, you've prayed on this, surely you feel a little more strongly about one than the other?

If you're still having problems, sit down with an imam and with a preacher/priest to discuss your concerns. I would advise against asking one about the other religion because then you know what he will say, lol, but you can still ask whatever concerns you have or ask about whatever you don't understand much, or where your hurdles are.

Good luck on your journey and may you choose the best path for yourself.

Lol Kotaro, I laugh till my sides hurt whenever I see that video!

There's only one truth
the only one that God's Son died for you and rose again from the dead is the God of the Bible

none of those others have an empty tomb, none of them paid for your sins, none other can promise eternal life because it's in Jesus alone;
if you would be willing, read first John (near the back of the Bible; 1John 2John, 3John)
asking God to show you the truth;
what you are looking for is a relationship with Almighty God

Beliving in Jesus and accepting him into your heart are 2 diffrent things. If you get the same feeling from both religions that will all change if you accept him into your heart. Christianity is not just a religion its a relationship with God. Jesus is the one true way to heaven. Its says in the Bible "...No on gets to the father except through me" therefore Jesus is the only way into heaven.

Hopes this helps!

Say ye, 'We believe in Allah and what has been revealed to us, and what was revealed to Abraham and Ishmael, and Isaac, and Jacob and his children, and what was given to Moses and Jesus, and what was given to all other Prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them; and to Him we submit ourselves.'

Those who follow the Messenger, the Prophet (Muhammad), the Ummi whom they find mentioned in the Torah and the Gospel which are with them. He enjoins on them good and forbids them evil and makes lawful for them the good things and forbids them the bad things and remove from them their burdens and shackles that were upon them. So those who shall believe in him and honour and support him and help him and follow the light that has been sent down with him - these shall prosper.'

Holy Quran

If you choose Islam you gain Both if you choose Christianity you lose Muhammad peace and blessing on both of them.

you are going by feelings. being human, our feelings change constantly, so we as christians operate in faith. you can not feel your faith. you cannot enter heaven by anything that you can do, because all have fallen short of the glory of God. we are as filthy rags before God, God loves us so much that he sent his only son to die for our sins so that we can be covered under the blood of his son. Jesus is the truth and no man comes to the father but threw him.
