Corollas are pretty much bulletproof, but a lot of the parts may have dried out, esp. rubber and stuff. May need a couple hundred in upkeep before it becomes fully driveable.

Yes, it can be reliable, but most likely it will take some work to make it so. Moisture in the air can get into places it needn't be, like the gas tank interior, etc. I would reccomend changing the air and fuel filters. Also, the seals can shrink and lose their elasticity causing leaks from various places on the engine and transmission alike. Expect to have to put some work into it, but it the vehicle was well maintained and stored in the appropriate conditions then it may not be so bad after all.

I would change the oil and antifreeze before anything. If the car leaks a lot while it is running, all the gaskets could be dry rotted and need to be replaced. I bought a car that was sitting for 2 years. I had to work out a few minor problems, but nothing major.

Yes. Usually the brakes get become oxidized, no prblem there, just needs to be driven. I would strongly recommend having a good technician take a look at the car before you put it on the road. Good luck.

Maybe. We purchased an older car that had sat for awhile and the seals in the engine had dried and we had leaky seals. That was an expensive fix.
