I've been an agnostic for many years and Zen intrigues me because of it's lack of dogma and empiricism.

It's pretty easy because of that very lack of dogma. A lot of people consider themselves Buddhists without ever being associated with a temple. There are lots of good websites and books about it. If you want face to face time, most large cities have Buddhist temples where you can go to study.

Just say you are and you will be a Zen Buddhist HOWEVER if you want to know the sorta stuff they know you'll have to study a bit of Zen for a few decades ... or drop some acid.
