My cats have recently started pooping on the floor, and on things on the floor (clothes and that sorta stuff), there has been times where they nock a sweater or other clothes off of the table or chair and then poop on it. They have a litter box that I regularly clean.. Would getting another one help? Any other advice would be awesome.

I had this problem with a young cat who KNOWS where the box is and KNOWS what it's for. Of course I suspected health problems. That was ruled out. She's confined to one area of the house, apart from any other pets (because she's small) and she has exclusive use of her box. Obviously that wasn't it either. Someone suggested it, and it sounds ludicris, but believe it or not it WAS anger. You aren't going to believe a cat can be THIS tempermental........
LiveWire has been a handfed baby since she was two weeks old. She was always fed with a cotton t-shirt wrapped around her. When she gets ready to go to sleep she must "knead" something that is of cotton t-shirt material. Her t-shirt was on my bed. When I realized what I'd done I felt like a complete ******. I took her t-shirt off of the bed, threw it in the washer, and forgot to put it back!!! I noticed it after watching more closely and realizing that before she went to the floor OR COMPUTER DESK to poop, she always went to my bed...kneaded in several spots like something just wasn't right..then off to leave me a present she'd go. I forgot to put her shirt back. OMG in Heaven, how could I be so insensitive to LiveWire's needs. LOLOL. I sincerely did feel like a heal though and I immediately retrieved her shirt from the clothes basket and put it back where she expected it to be. That shirt or one identical to it now stays on my bed at all times....and LiveWire poops in her litter box. It's sooo nice now that we understand each other.
These animals are such priceless creatures. When and if you rule out medical issues and such then you have to start watching more closely. Give your lil guys a chance..they'll tell you what's wrong once they train you in what to look for ;)

If only 1 of the cat is doing the pooping on the floor and it is a new behavior I would start out with a vet visit to rule out Medical Problems. Also, try a 2nd box. If you have recently changed Cat Litter Brands or types you might want to go back to the old brand.
Cat's usually poop in inappropriate places for 2 reasons, one is health and one is anger.

Get another litter box, or one for each cat....It might be that they don't like sharing a litter box. Re-train the cats to use a litter box if you need to...Place them in the box and hold their little paws and make it like you are digging a hole with their paws, so that they know how to bury their poop when they are finished--cats like to be clean and tidy if they can help it, so it is evident that your cats have a problem. Cats also hate water--if you catch them pooping on the floor again, then spray them gently with water from a spray bottle, or put pennies in a soda can and shake it--cats hate the loud noise. They will probably soon learn that pooping on the floor is wrong and bad, and they will not want to get sprayed or hear the loud pennies, so they will use their litter box...just remember to keep it clean for them, and encourage them to use the litter box at every opportunity.
Hope this helps!

Set mouse traps under the sweaters, they won't get hurt because the cloths will protect them . The SURPRISE and the noise will Freak them out and Ill bet they never step on any more cloths! when ever they crap or pee anywhere clean it with bleach, If you catch them in the act spray them with a squirt gun and bang on a kettle with a big hard spoon,

If you have multiple cats you nedd multiple litter boxes. You might also want to try switching your brand and/or type of litter.
