I think God speaks to us In Many Different ways.....LIKE Reading His Word, Through another Person's Words, During a Message about Him...and MANY times He Has Spoken to me through a Spiritual SONG. We Must always be TUNED IN TO HIM....(smile)
We Will KNOW IF IT IS HIS VOICE.

God has many mediums, messages and messengers. God speaks to us all the time and not only through sacred texts. It could be a book, a song, a quote, a butterfly, a call from a friend when you need it the most, that stillness in your mind....or your highest dream or thought. The problem is, is half the time we don't listen or aren't paying attention.

God speaks to us thru His Word and within our spirit! I love to have God minister to my heart with the Word. As I read and meditate on various scriptures I can sense within me a stirring, a comfort or even a correction. That is because it is a living, quickening gospel from a living, loving God my Father!

God speaks to us in many different ways. The still small voice in our mind.By someone coming across our path we've been praying for. By something happening we weren't expecting but needed,however, had no way means to obtain it. I could go on and on.

God talks to us in many ways. First off, thru His word, everytime we read and study and pray over His word, He is speaking to us, to show us what to do to stay HIS. He speaks to us thru the Holy Spirit, and He speaks to us thru the Holy Spirit not only as in guiding and leading, but also thru Our Heavenly SPirit Language where God reveals so much. HE speaks to us thru visions and dreams, and impressions. The Holy Spirit is our conscious. So man y ways God will speak to us. All are called, but few will love Him, and even fewer will answer the full call to LOVE AND OBEY HIM.
HE tries so many ways to speak to us, to draw us to Him, its not His fault when ppl wont hear or obey.
I count it all as Joy to serve the Lord in any way HE calls me to. WE are commanded to be like Jesus, and its not hard to do when we submit our will to His will and be born again. In 1 John 3:9, we are told those born again cannot sin.
Grace does not cover continued , willful deliberate sin.
God forbid. Those that think it does, are hearing from the devil, as the devil knows we must obey God. Look what happened to him when he disobeyed and to Adam and Eve. Disobedience still leads to curse, and obedience still leads to blessing.

Several have given excellent answers. I have heard an audible voice, I have heard from others, but mostly as I seek Him, He speaks through His word. He brings scripture to mind.
