Yes, everything does happen for a reason. We do not always know the reason why.Sometimes we see the "why" later, sometimes not. Just trust God in all things and get on w/ it.

Yes everything does happen for a reason. It is all cause and effect. The Lord lets us make decisions and then the results come. The Lord knows what we can stand and He leads us through those times of trouble. Just like the other day I told the Lord I had an extra $20. and before the day was over He provided a person in need of it.

Things do happen to us for a reason, but it's our own personal reason and may not relate to anyone else. For example: say you won $200. cash one day. Well, you end up loosing it. You thought you put it in a drawer in the corner, but when you looked it wasn't there. You were sure no one stole it, because you live alone and the drawer was locked. Well, say your tire blows out a week later and you need $80 for the towing and $60 for the tire. It nearly drains your checking account! Well, you get home, pissed, and three hours later, when you are all comfortable and have your shoes off, you realize you have to take out the trash. You go to the closet for your sneakers you haven't worn in weeks and when you put your foot in, you discover something shoved into the toe area. It's the $200. You have been reimbursed.
It is the universe's way of just doing good things for you... it could just be subconsious, but it works. I have seen it work...

I personally believe that everything that happens to us is for the reason of growing and learning. Most things that happen to us is because of something we thought and acted upon, or negative actions that somehow affect someone else. I can look back on my life and see that everything in my life, negative and positive, lead me to where I am today. There has been a lot of pain, a lot of mistakes, a lot of love and with each "lesson" I have grown to be a more forgiving, loving, non-judge mental, etc. etc. person. If I had NOT gone through some of the painful situations, I would not have thought about the choices that got me to that point and would not have had the opportunity to change, for the better.
Look back on your life and see if you have learned anything from the good things and the negative things that have occurred in your life.

We can normally figure out a reason for any event if we are properly educated. If we are not educated this will not prevent us from coming up with a reason; it will just almost certainly be incorrect.
Predestination, on the other hand, is religious poppycock.
Each of us is personally responsible to educate ourselves so that we might try to understand what happens and, if possible, why it happened.

There are a very great many different ways this cuase and effect system has been described. I see it as a sort of Karmic system involving both the present life's actions and inactions and all past lives actions. I also feel that familial and tribal and indeed worldwide Karmic forces play arole in an individual's life. But never is this the be all end all of existence. The Elohim gave us free will and we can use natural forces that are at our disposal to change the course of events.

depends on what you mean by happens to us some things come at us without our consent other things we choose i guess both happen for a reason but sometimes we create the reason threw our actions
and you cant say that all is gods will because god is good and there is a whole lot of evil in this world in which he took no part in

Everything happens for a reason because we exist in a causal universe, not some sort of random vacuum.

Yes, there's a reason: whether from our being good or otheres being good.......or we screwed up or someone else screwed up.
There may be a few "accidents" in there too. But "accidents" are just things that we can't figure out why or who caused it.
