She has all kinds of toys that she does not even play with and a huge playground. I didn't not have a whole lot of money to spend but I just won't something that she will love. Please help me!

I was in the same boat with my daughter last Christmas and will be this Christmas too. The grandmas spoil her and she has everything. My husband and I didn't have a lot of money last year and got her little toys she didn't already have. We got her a doggy-xylophone and Dora the Explorer bath toys and some other little toys to play with in the car. I think we spent only $20. She had gifts to open from us and she liked it. I think this year I might get her some new crayons and coloring books and maybe some more play jewelry. She really loves to draw and dress-up. Good luck!

Very sad situation you are in. Sorry you are having to go through this in your life right now. Your daughter needs you the most this Christmas season and the worst thing for her to see is for you to be upset that she cannot have a perfect Christmas, at least in your mind not a perfect Christmas. She is three and anything can be made special! Instead of expensive gifts from you let her gifts come from the family around her and you concentrate on making her day special. Let her help decorate and get ready for Christmas. Maybe start some new traditions during this time. For example: Wake up Christmas morning and make special Christmas muffins or banana bread with her. Make the day about her. Make up a game and hide some small dollar store toys around the house and make it a Christmas scavenger hunt that you can do together. I guarantee she will love it and it will make her feel special that you want to spend time with her and that you are happy! Christmas is not only wonderful because of the toys you get, its about family, love and Jesus' birth! Good luck and God Bless you this Christmas!

How about you and her go threw her room and pick out some of the toys that she does'nt play with and donate them, that way she could learn about shareing and there will be some happy kids for the holidays.
When your done doing that she will notice that some of her toys are gone and she my show interest in new things and different things, you will have more of an idea on what to get her, Books, Games, Coloring,Clay.

How about things that will help her learn? Books, learning games, magnetic alphabet letters, etc...

My son will be 3 a week before Christmas and I plan to get him lots of books because he's now into sitting down and looking through them himself and pointing out what the pictures are. Of course he'll still get toys to play with and clothes....oh yea, he'll be getting a baby brother a few weeks after Christmas too!! LoL

What does she really love to do? Maybe you can get her something that matches some of her favorite activities.

Coloring books and crayons are good. If you have the patience to observe, Play Doh is also ok.

How about leggo or duplo blocks?

My boys love the Leapfrog Fridge Phonics and Fridge Farm. They are nice because they keep them occupied while I try to cook dinner.

At two years old she's not going to understand if you spend $500 or $50 on her. Time is more important.

Instead of buying something how about spending time doing fun things with her. Kids love painting with chocolate pudding on a washable table or in the bathtub and shower. Get creative....
Also if she doesn't play with her toys just wrap up a few of the ones you can think of a new approach to use them.

Kids that age love little figures. Why not get a few animals on a farm and have her be a farmer. Or get a few pocket dogs and a purse and she can take the little pups every place she goes. Great for a restaurant.

You could get her play-dough. My daughter loves it, and it keeps her busy for hours. She also loves playing with her doll house and dolls. Dress up clothes are nice too.
