So I have been diagnosed with panic disorder and my physciatrist told me to take .5mg Ativan and 50mg Zoloft. Im terrified to take medicines to begin with, so I just wanted to see if anyone else was taking these medications and what thier side effects are. Any information will help.

I've been on Zoloft for over 10 years for depression. It has really helped me a lot. The only side effect I had from it was losing about 5 pounds when I first started it.

The Ativan is more for anxiety, the Zoloft more for depression. They do go hand-in-hand. The most common side effect for Ativan might be fatigue when you first start it. Other than that, you have nothing to worry about. You should be feeling great in about a week or two.

I wish you all the best. You have nothing to be terrified about. I promise. :)

Hi, i was on zoloft for about 4 years and it was absolutley great. Its a great mediciene for people to start out with and most people dont get any side effects from it, the most common is a dry mouth, but thats easily fixed with a drink!
Theres no harm in trying, and the bad side effects are really really rare!

Clumsiness; dizziness; drowsiness; headache; lightheadedness; unsteadiness; weakness.

Common side effects with Zoloft:

Your doctor should have discussed side effects with you. Please discuss it with him/her. You can also find information about medications at WebMD.com.
