I went to the public park today with my children ages 2, 4, 1st grade, 3rd grade, and 5th grade. They were running and then they had to go to the bathroom. We were 15 minutes away from the house and we would have a messy car so I had to bring them into the woods and they had to remove there stuff and go. Don't you think places like this should have bathrooms?

All of our city parks have bathroom facilities, except they close in the winter.

Many parks are built by neighborhood organizations or small municipalities that cannot afford a restroom. Many parks are even built with grant money. Our town can get a johnny-on-the-spot some years but not others because the park is maintained by volunteers and donations.

I hate the thought of kids peeing in the woods. So when my kids were younger, I always carried a little potty in my minivan (the kind you use when potty training.) We actually still bring it on long car trips or when camping. I keep a supply of tissues and hand wipes as well as plastic grocery bags and clorox wipes for cleanup. It works great!

Not bathrooms exactly, but maybe protable bthrooms. Look around for those when your children have an 'emergency'. If there are none, then yes, those who owned/built the park should have had a bathroom/port-o-potty near by.

In the old days, yes, they would. But these days, no one wants the liabilty. Sometimes the risk of a perv lurking inside an unattended public lavatory is real.

Yes, they should have bathrooms. I hope everything went well with no wet clothes.
