Gordon but JJ will be right there with him, I hate it that those two are running with it. Quick make a new format to make it more competitive.

Jeff Gordon hands down. He is the Grand Marshall for starters.
I say about 15-30 max. I dont think he will gain the points lead anytime soon, because I have a feeling him and Gordon will finish close to each other yet again.
I would have to say maybe around 25 give or take a few. I think it would stay considerably the same if they finish near each other, but if one wins and the other finishes back in the pack that could shake up some of the standings quite a bit.
I think Clint Bowyer, will crash out early, and not finish well and lose ground to the leaders in the Chase.

Jimmie Johnson SHOULD do better than Jeff Gordon this week at Atlanta. JJ has the higher average finish there (JJ-10.1 and JG-13.3) AND a better intermediate track average (JJ-10.5 and JG-11.9) as well. With that said Gordon is running better than his averages this year so I expect it to be very close again. The point gain by the 48 team will only be in the 10-20 point range IF indeed he does better than the 24, in my opinion.

I am looking for Johnson to close the gap this weekend. I think Jeff will have his bad luck at this track. Jeff is good here, no doubt, but I feel he will get swept up in somebody else's mistake. It's gonna happen in one of these last races, I feel it will be this one.
Somebody else mentioned that Jimmie hasn't had any bad luck. He got a fifteenth place finish with a top 3 car a few races back for smacking the wall. Hopefully that will be the extent of the bad luck for him.

I honestly think Gordon will once again have a surprise win in Atlanta. I beleive he will extend his lead by a small amount if any. Some where around, maybe a 27 to a 52 point lead.

Jeffy Gordon. JJ will be a top three if he doesn't wreck. So maybe 6 or 12 points.
#12 Ryan Newman is way past due for a win. That team finally has their shite together. I'm picking !#12.

I think Johnson will finish ahead of Gordon, but neither one will win.
Johnson, because, he has a better record at the quad oval tracks than Gordon does, (I don't mean career, I mean within the past couple of years) and Chad Knaus always seems to work miracles at these kinds of tracks.

I think Jimmie Johnson is a better driver, but Gordon has more cunning.
