“I am disappointed that the Senate failed to pass the DREAM Act. The enactment of this legislation is long overdue, and I will continue to fight for its passage, for all of our children and our nation.”http://www.allamericanpatriots.com/48735491_hillary_clinton_statement_senator_hillary_rodham_clinton_development_relief_and_education_a
Senator Barack Obama
“Today is another missed opportunity in the battle to solve the immigration crisis in this country. The immigration debate has been wrought with the politics of division and fear, and been exploited by some politicians, blocking the real reform we need. Today's vote proves that we need to do more to transcend these divisions – especially to provide solutions to help the most vulnerable in our society. I will continue to work with Senators Durbin, Hagel, Lugar and Kennedy on this issue, and will fight to bring this legislation back for another vote as soon as possible.”http://illinoischannel.spaces.live.com/Blog/cns!B0DB128F5CD96151!2718.entry

The PROMISE of a free college education? Can they earn NOTHING for themselves? Do we the taxpayers have to fund every single wonderful gift for these free-loaders? Is there NO personal responsibility expected? Except of course for taxpayers.

Last week SCHIPS had the age of a child at 25. The DREAM act had “children” as aliens under the age of 30.
Doesn't that just define the liberal mindset? They see ALL of us as "children".

Political suicide. More of us than them. Durbin should be admitted the nearest mental ward along with Hillary and Obama, Kennedy, McCain and the other idiots who want to turn our great nation into a welfare state for Illegals.

I tend to be rather cynical about these things. I believe for Hillary Clinton it is a PR move. Some "voters" will read about it and say, "She really cares about us," and so they tend to think that's another reason to support her run for President. In reality, a solution will only be found when President, Representatives and Senators start putting people and this country ahead of their desires to do whatever it takes to get elected. No one person, whether President or congressman will solve the health care crisis.

The promise of 100 days of progress. I have not read the complete bill but you can expect it includes more than work on the immigration problems. Problems that have been debated by politicians for 20? yrs? Long as Kennedy has been in there.
If you look at John McCain he really has an idea to somewhat of a blanket approach. Plus he is very against Pork Barrel spending ... co - wrote the Campaign Finance Reform Bill that many despise. Well, HRC does. Forced to sell off millions in Blind Trusts as conflicts of interest, even McCain himself did just that. Howard Hsu and the Chinese money laundering going on? She has alot to worry about right now. History seems to be repeating itself.
If they can not address the up and coming war in Iran they are wasting time with Immigration. It has, and will continue to wait. Unless you consider that Hugo Chavez has been sending his trained MS-13 across the Mexican border for awhile now. Gangs in America & then we have Castro & his protege-Chavez again. Thanks.

There is no promise of free education in the DREAM act. It allows for people who a) complete high school at an American School and b) either complete 2 years at a community college a 4 year University or serve 2 years in the military to become citizens. It also requires them to have proof that they were brought here prior to their 15th B-day.
-no where does it talk about free education.
If your going to rant, try to at least understand what your talking about. I'm not necessarily for the DREAM act, but I at least know what it is that I am opposing. Ignorance and anger do not mix well.

we know who the real children are, our politicians. i mean think of it their every action needs to be watched (most of them anyway), we tell them what to do and they still don't do it, that's if they listened to us in the first place, they think they know everything, they think we are made of money. is that the description of a child or what. i call mine by their first names and i tell them they are children when i write them. those two gotta go. sounds like those two will not be president! hey are we kind of skimpy on the pro illegals or is it just me? plotting maybe for the next time?

As for Hillary statement , "for all of our children " Uh they aren't our CHildren, there, someone elses kid.
Hillary is out of touch. She was so proud that she came up with the idea that illegal immigrants should not be part of our nationalize healthcare. Most of us would thought of that as a given

Kennedy weaseled out of this vote. He didn't put in an appearance to vote either way. Neither did McCain. People in Massachussetts and Arizona made themselves clear on the issue.

Yes, I can believe it. Afterall, had it passed, she could be looking at hundreds of thousands, maybe a million or two additional voters that might support her bid for a second term in '12.

Oh, I can believe it.
Have you noticed that all of the 'frontrunner' candidates for President are bad and worse?
We need to get serious about someone.
