It's not, it's a scientific fact. Anyone who thinks it's a scam should have a big convention with the people who think the moon landing was fake and there are aliens at Area 51.

It's not a scam. Global warming and global cooling are part of a natural earth cycle. However, politicians and the media are using global warming as a scare tactic, and they should be ashamed of themselves. If you want to learn more pick up a book on climateology at the library. You will find that this has been going on since the beginning of time. In fact it was much worse a couple of billion years ago. Things change always on the earth.

As far as it being a scam. The only possible thing I can think of would be this; It was created by the oil companies knowing full well that not enough people would put enough stock into it to change anything significantly. This would then take a lot off attention off of them while they suck our planet dry of it's last drops of oil, and shortly after burn it into the sky contributing to the 'scam of a problem' in turn making the oil company and 'elite' other individuals richer while our countries more in debt to the national banks that create our money out of thin air or.. sorry 'legal tender' and ulitmately make, YOU AND I poorer. But what if global warming is real and we don't do anything? Is it real or isnt it? watch this..

Government benefits from the success of industry, in part to drive the economy. Also, many people in government come from money, and much of their money was earned through industry (especially the oil industry.) Plus, a LOT of money is pumped into political coffers by oil companies. So it's in the best financial interests of many people in government to try to persuade the general public to think of global warming as a hoax or a scam.
On the flip side, the people who are out there painting the picture that we're on the verge of a major global catastrophe are running the risk of being accused of acting like Chicken Little. Yes global warming is real, yes it's dangerous, and yes it will eventually lead to disaster. But not on the scale that many are predicting as soon as they say.
It's like anything that could be considered a "hot button issue." You have extremists on both sides, and they're the ones who shout the loudest. It's the rational middle that gets drowned out.

Global warming is happening but it is a natural process... for millions of years the planet has heated up then cooled down.... It is impossible to stop... The only way the government is really scamming us is by making people think they can completely stop it and that carbon dioxide is the main problem when methane is having a greate affect.

dude I'm with you. It is for real. I just took BioGeoChemistry (grad) and holy poop the charts show pretty clearly that since the use of fossil fuels we have been raising the temp and pollution like crazy. If things do not change, we are doomed.
BUT way back when there was a study that the earth would be covered in horse poop if we continued to have horses, pop increase, etc. etc. Things changed, the world isn't covered by maneur, but sometimes I think it may have been better than the world today :(
I suspect things will change before we as humans ruin the world. Earth is incredibly resilliant by the nature of the scale of the 'system'. So be careful and be eco friendly, but do not fear, things will change before we self distruct.

Certain governmental persons using a legitimate problem to expand their power does not take away from the validity of the original problem. Just because the radical federalist right has used terrorism as a means to strip the populace of basic American rights does not mean that terrorism in and of itself is not a global and regional issue. The same is true of global warming. It was an issue before the government, the radical federalist left, decided to make it their object of fear.

Global Warming is not a scam.
Especially not one set up by the gov.
Global Warming is real.
Proof- Arctic Walruses are dying at a high rate due to glacial melting. Polar Bears who live on land/ice, found dead and/or exhausted in the ocean from glacial melting. Our glaciers are melting people! And thats just the tip of the iceberg... (no pun intended).

The scam is on the public in the form of ethanol credits. It is a very inefficient substitute for gasoline -- we would gain more energy and CO2 savings by raising the EPA fuel economy standard by 10% than we will ever save by ethanol production and use. That is just fact, not opinion.
All we have done is made investors in ethanol wealthy and the treasury poorer.
