Keep reading. They also had Seth and many more children. Can you believe that incest was invented at that time?

The book of Genisis Talks about the creation of Adam and Eve. Further in the story, Cain kills Abel and they have Seth (seemingly to replace Abel, but we don't know that for sure).
Cain is then sent away and meets a woman in Nod.
Here we assume that there are other humans that God had created. If you read the rest of the book of Genisis, you will notice that it reads mostly as a genealogical study than anything else, and then stops at people who are significant to the story. Wether that is because the writer knew nothing about the other people, or just because the stories of the other lives were unimportant as a lesson, we don't know.
I believe that, you have to read to get it. Even many Christians don't pay attention, they just assume that adam and eve and everything sprang from there. This isn't true, Cain obviously had offspring from his relationship.
I would submit that the information in the Bible is given to the writer in terms which he can understand, so, there was no need to go into the other "tribes" of people that God may have created at the time, and so God only gave him the information regarding his own roots.

Adam and Eve had many generations of children, only 3 are mentioned in the bible, Cain, Abel and Seth. All people stemmed from Adam and Eve and their children, the boys mentioned married sisters (it was not incest, the blood lines were the same being Eve was made from Adam) After the flood the only people left on earth were Noah and his family, we all stemmed from them, and as the population grew and blood lines crossed, then God made a law against incest

Is this a hypothetical question? Because if it is then they would have had to have had sex with Eve. Adam had many more children than Cain, Abel, and Seth. Some of the sons clearly had to have taken their sisters as wife's.

Adam and Eve had more children than just Cain and Abel. Cain and Abel were the first ones.

Adam and Eve were the first humans; all others have descended from them. Of Adam Genesis 5:4 says: “He begat sons and daughters.” One of these daughters Cain married. Not one of them was mentioned in the record at the time of her birth, but all were merely acknowledged at the close of the account of Adam’s life. The Bible seldom indicates the birth of girls individually. Prior to Genesis 5:4 other men are spoken of as having wives and begetting offspring, yet no record of the birth of these women appears. Cain’s case is not exceptional. (Gen. 4:16-26) Incidentally, even evolutionary scientists generally hold that there was only one original pair, and that their offspring interbred, brother with sister.

I believe your question or at least your premise is a false one aurelius. Take a look at Genesis 5:4. Adam and Eve did NOT just have 2 sons. Therefore there is no dilemma here. Keep searching the scriptures.
GENESIS 5:4
Then the days of Adam after he became the father of Seth were eight hundred years, and he had other sons and daughters.

It never says they had only Cain and Abel. Those are just the only two mentioned by name because of the story of the first murder.

You have to understand that it was a very different time back then and things had to be done to get people into the world that can't even be imagined now. God gave the command to be fruitful and multiply, so you had to go with what was available, and it wasn't a bad thing then. However, I don't think it took that long for there to be enough distance between really close relatives - probably just a generation. We just can't imagine doing that because there are so many of us now.

There was more than just Cain and Abel, however, they where mentioned because Cain did the sin of murder, so in a significant reason is why they were the only ones mentioned
