It depends on if the provider you went to is a contracted provider for Spectera. If the provider you went to is in network, they should submit a claim for you. When they receive payment from the insurance company, they should reimburse your share to you. Call them first thing to find out if they can do this for you.

However, if the provider you went to is not a Spectera network provider, you may only be able to collect a portion of the allowance. Call Spectera (their number should be in your benefits package provided to you by your employer) and ask about submiting the claim yourself. The customer service reps should walk you through the process.

In addition, the provider needed to send your glasses to the Spectera contracted lab (Crown or Precision Optical). If they did not do this, you need to contact Spectera and find out how they will reimburse you.

It is so important to know the basics of your plan and not rely on the sales people. In addition, Spectera is a particularly hairy plan for both sales people and plan members to figure out.

Im an office manager for an optometry clinic and if you paid for your glasses already, you should be able to send your reciept to your insurance company, and they should reimburse you for them. Sometimes you need to get a tax ID number fron the company you bought them from in order to get paid, and be sure to include all your ins. info such as ID number, group number, and the subcribers name and birthday. If info is missing, they will deny your claim and you'll have to start all over! Good luck!

Hey!! I work for Secure Horizons, and I can let you know what you need to do from here. So when you are working through spectera you just need to have proof that you paid for them and contact your provider and they and spectera can help reimburse (sp) you. So just give it some time, it depends what insurance you have incase you might need to file your own claim.. If you give them a call, they will help you! Good Luck
