You can expect add around 30% for import duty, VAT and brokerage fees. This is levied in the total value of the vehicle, including the shipping costs.
So if the car is worth £10,000 and shipping costs are £1,000, for example, you can expect to add £3,300 in fees.
In order to get it registered in the U.K., it will need to pass an SVA test - around £750.
Unless it's very rare or unusual, it's really not worth it - your £10k car has actually cost you over £15,000.

Don't do it. You'll need to pay import duty and VAT, as well as shipping costs.. You'll also need to VCA approval, to ensure it meets EWVTA(European whole vehicle type approval) Not cheap! You will need to change headlights as a minimum, and Co2 could be a problem. That's before you talk about tyres, or any other safety measures.
You need to really want whatever it is, and money being no problem!
Be careful.

I would think the easiest way would be to use a specialist import company, as they'll deal with all the paperwork and red tape.
