I get this clinching feeling in area opposite my heart and slightly lower. This pressure is acute and quick, it lasts for about 2 seconds and then the pressure moves to the side of my head, on the same side. Both feelings are very acute. It feels like it moves from my chest, up my neck and into my head and then gives me a slight headache for 4 seconds and then goes away. And then it will happen again and again. Then after maybe a couple minutes, it will go away for 4-8 hours or for 2 or 3 days. Please help. It really hurts.

You are probably not going to figure this out without visiting a doctor - you need to know exactly where the pain is, and whether you can cause the pain by pressing your finger against different places on your chest and neck. If pressing doesn't produce the pain, then an MRI might be needed to see what's happening.

There are several possible causes that a doctor could narrow down: spasm in a muscle next to the carotid artery or vagus nerve; some other sort of aggravation of the vagus nerve, a type of seizure (simple, partial), or migraine.
