Jimmie Johnson probably has the best shot at it. That team has been on a pretty good roll, has the best average finish at AMS and don't forget he won there in the spring.

Statisically at this track, someone in a Ford or Chevy will probably win. Those two cars have won 65% of the races run there. But, the winner will be the one who can stay out of someone else wrecks and have the best pit strategy. LOL Jimmie does have a very good chance, as well as Jeff Gordon, Tony Stewart or Carl Edwards. But my choice for the win is Jeff Gordon. It's crunch time and the 24 team is really good when it counts :-)

Take Jimmie Johnson (+455), 1/6th unit. This week, the Smokeless Set heads to Atlanta, which is a very close parallel to Lowe's Motor Speedway in Charlotte. Johnson, of course, completely dominates Charlotte (and has the best finishing average on the Alanta/Charlotte/Texas track style over the last three and six seasons). Johnson also won here in Atlanta back in March, and finished second in the Atlanta race last fall, on his way to his first points title. For sure, J.J. is points racing from here on in, dueling with his teammate Jeff Gordon (+660) for the '07 championship, but the best way to stay out of trouble at a super-fast unrestricted place like Atlanta is get out front and stay there.
Take Tony Stewart (+814), 1/6th unit. Smoke has to be disappointed in his Chase, as he's almost certainly not going to win his third points title. But he won this event last fall, and has only failed to finish in the top 10 in Atlanta once the last 12 times he's raced here. So you know he's going to be near the front, and you have to believe Stewart will worry less about points than the Hendrick guys when push comes to shove. He'll want to win this race, and I give him a decent chance to do so.
Take Carl Edwards (+1021), 1/6th unit. It's probably wishful thinking that Edwards can win this event after all the negative publicity surrounding him after a post-race incident with his teammate Matt Kenseth (+1021). After Martinsville, Edwards interrupted an interview Kenseth was doing to confront him about something that happened between them on the track, and Edwards mock-punched Kenseth, whereupon Kenseth flinched as though he assumed, "Yeah, this *** could actually punch me in the face." (You can see the video right here.) No doubt, King Carl will have a lot of 'splaining to do at Atlanta this week, and some of the veneer has definitely come off his pristine image. But remember also that Edwards has the second-best finishing average on this track style over the last three seasons, and he's won twice at Atlanta. I think these odds are tasty, on the off chance Edwards turns around and wins a race to prove everyone wrong about him.

Matt Kenseth will spin Carl Edwards on the last lap for the Victory. Then when Carl tries to crash Matt's Victory lane party like Carl Did to Jr. a while back Rob Rieser will beat Carl to an inch of his life with 1/2 inch MAC Tools Socket wrench! Wait no he will use a Mayhem Prybar! Jack Roush will say that it is competitive racing and he hopes Carl's smile looks good with the teeth missing due to Carl has to look pretty for contractual obligations!

This is a good track for Jimmie, Carl, Jeff, and Clint. I am going with one of those four to win, plus all four of those names in the top ten, with two of them being in the top five!

Much to my chagrin I would have to say J.J. he won there in the spring race, plus they want to close the gap to the 24 (although he will probably end up 2nd).
