He is a very consistent driver but that team really missed the setup at several races this year. I think the biggest change that would help him would be to get the cars to that handle better week in and week out. That puts the pressure on Richard Childress, RCR's suspension specialists that put in the setups for that week's track and his crew chief, Scott Miller. I will agree with some that have said he could stand to be a little more agressive at times but that hasn't been the main problem for him this year.

He just needs some good luck. Racing involves talent from everyone on the team. However the most talent in the world will show nothing without some good luck to go along with it.
Jeff Burton has proven he is a great driver. A few weeks before the chase started he and his team started having some rough finishes and they have not had much of a chance to build any momentum ever since then.

Ive said it befor he is the Tops in being a cool levelheaded driver. He is very Consistant with his style of driving--runs the same lap doesnt try the high side then Oh wait a minute I will try the low side for awhile!!! I believe he needs to work on his qualifying package or qualifying set up--so he has a better starting position to be able to avoid the mid pack messes on the track. He could stay up front with the leaders instead of them pulling out to an 8 or 10 second lead while he is fighting through traffic!!!!

I like Jeff alot also, he is a great driver I thought for sure this yr was going to be a great yr for him...He could be alittle more agressive, but he has just had a yr of bad luck he did make the chase again, but he just needs some good ole fashion racing luck...He is on a very competitve team and great team, it just seems like everything has gone Bowyers way this yr atleast in the chase....

I love Jeff too, that's a really good question.
I think he needs to be more aggressive & stop trying to be such a nice guy. I thought it sucked last week when they penalized him for slowing down for another driver while coming onto pit road. Little things like that are killing him. He deserves a championship and more agression & some better equipment will him get there....Keep the faith, his championship season is getting closer... :-)
GO RCR!!! GO # 07!!! GO # 29!!! GO # 31!!!

He is a great driver. Ive always liked him. I think just a little luck going his way would have made all the difference this year. In my eyes he has always been a Champion. He is a very fierce competitor.

He's a really solid driver. I think he needs a little more "attitude" and just be a little less "safe" once in a while.
But he's really not his own worst enemy. I think his shop has hurt him more than once with machines that aren't reliable.
Lately it seems like a lot of RCR cars haven't been up to snuff with their COT programs. IMO- Harvick and Bowyer have had the same problem.

He needs to be good and finish in the top ten on a consistent basis. He did well at the beginning of the year, but then he sorta fell off. Jeff Gordon was consistent all year, and that is why he is on his way to becoming a champion for the 5th time.
