Well, here's a few things that have worked for me:

- swearing a blue streak at the top of my lungs out the window of my car while driving through a tunnel. The echo is cool.
- I've been kown to take out traffic cones... at least until it busted one of my side view mirrors
- Use a black marker on a white tshirt to write a message then go wear it in public. I have one that says "I don't CARE how they do it in New York!"
- throwing things can be satisfying sometimes

I stay away from my power tools when I'm mad. I need to be in the right mental space to wood work, paint, or play music, and being mad is not the right space.

You could daydream that you reach down the persons throat and rip their voice box out if you don't like what they say and then you can dream that you pop their eye balls out and then you throw the rest of them to sharks and then you take the shark poop which would be all that remained of them and throw that down a volcano then you dream that you go to the doctor for shock treatment to erase the memory of them. That probably won't help much though so the best thing to think about is making your self happy and letting go of the anger and putting in God's hands,let him deal out the justice because it is not within our realm of power.

Talking to someone impartial usually helps. It sounds like you need a good ear right now, someone with some wisdom who may have been there themselves in a similar situation so is best able to advise you. Don't bottle it but don't let rip either, you need to find a way to diffuse it, which most likely means having a good talk with someone who can help you see a way to best deal with the situation.

A good physical work out may also help --- boost the feel-good endorphins.

I find that drinking helps.

I don't mean just a few pints down at the pub, either, I mean a full-on, tequila ripping, bourbon shooting, party-til-you-puke royal bender.

After that, you'll feel so bloody awful and wishing to die that you'll barely have the energy to go to Denny's for some eggs, let alone maintain anger.

If you can hit a mosh pit while drinking, it's even better.

I put my hands over my mouth and scream as loud and as violently as I can. I usually start by just doing a regular scream and then as I taper down I start saying "f**k." It usually gets rid of the frustration and when I'm done I think about how I must look and have a good laugh at myself.

It works, but then it's good to follow it up with something positive.

Think of ways your anger can be channelled into love.

Try to convince yourself that showing love to the person you are angry with is a punishment of some kind.

If it is a person near to you, give them a hug. If it is yourself, go and find a way to pamper yourself. Soon your anger will be vented in a positive, loving way.

In other words, erase your hate by turning it into more love. It's quite hard to do, but it gets good results.

Hug someone, give flowers to a stranger or just pay someone a compliment. Simple acts of kindness not only help the recipient but also improve your mental state :)

I can't imagine what could be that serious, try counting to ten before you do something, hit a wall, go jogging for few minutes, do something to release the tension and the stress.

What I have done before was write a letter and just really spill my guts and tell the person what I thought. I never mailed it but I still felt so much better just after writing the letter.

Seriously, there is nothing like it if you're frustrated. Get a big heavy one that you can hang from the ceiling. Roundhouse kicks are especially therapeutic.
