Captain Obvious: Good point. A good way to get noticed is to be incredibly and obviously stupid.
Hmm... Britney Spears must be following this logic.

THAT would be a miracle. I might convert on the spot.
(I'm not sure what I'd convert into, but I'd convert...)

It sounds like a great idea; however, we have a spell-checking function that most who post seem not to have discovered. If those who post would actually use an available grammar filter, it would be wonderful! If they would use it as often as they use the spell-checking function, it would be useless. I like to use the spell check in hopes of not appearing ignorant or uneducated. Most of us need all the help we can get! (*wink and smile*)
I agree that patience is in order for those who are recent arrivals in an English-speaking nation. I appreciate their willingness to practice and learn, and admire their courage in coming to a nation where the language and customs are new and unfamiliar.

Actually most of the time I am with you on that. I have met a few people on here who are recent immigrants and are still learning English. For those people I try to be a little more tolerant.

Yes. Google offers something but then again, that question is getting noticed because of its terrible grammar. The only bad publicity is no publicity
EDIT

If you don't understand the question, just don't answer it. It's not like there is some sort of limit on how many questions are allowed to be asked, and they're being wasted on incomprehensible questions.

Thanks for the link - the answers were hilarious.
But don't you think we should be a little merciful to those for whom English might be a second language?

negative. i dont capitalize the starting of my questions or answers. unless it fixes it on its own, its not worth the trouble to sit here and capitalize every starting word, when you read it the same way regardless.
=]
edit: ok well your link showed me that there should be something in place. i dont care about grammar as long as i can understand it.
