My 1st car was a Mk2 1300L Escort.
By the time I'd finished with it..it was 1600 RS lookalike.
Wheels,spoilers...interior even instuments had been changed.

Wish I could get one like it now...it went like stink!

1600cc engine on a 1300GT gearbox through a 1300 van axle..no good top speed(about 100mph)...but got there real fast!

Fords I've had..
MK1 escort 1300GT+RS2000
MK2 escort 1300l+1600GL+RS2000
Mk3 escort 1300GL+XR3i
MK4 escort XR3i
MK5 escort 1600GHIA+GT

Capri Mk1 1300GL
Capri MK2 3liter S+GHIA
Capri MK3 1600GL+1600LS+2.8i

Cortina MK3 2liter GHIA

Granada MK1 3.0S coupe
Granada MK3 2.8GL

And those are only the ones I can remember!

Where have all these classic cars gone!

A lovely big, maroon Wolseley - leather upholstery and real wood inside. A rear window which was so high and small you couldn't see out of it and wing mirrors (not door mirrors).
Then husband bought me a pale blue Ford Anglia (with a cut back roof shape) - hated it and had to carry a concrete door lintel in the boot to keep it on the road, so I sold it and bought an MG midget which I loved.
Since had 3 Ford Capris (1 orange, 2 white), an orange Mini Traveller, a large Nissan, and now have a Nissan 100NX which I shall drive till I'm too old to drive any more.

aMine was an Austin 1100. The front wings were rusty round the headlights so patched them up with filler. After 1 year the headlights both fell out when i went over a large bump. I had lots of various cars the worst was a ford Fiesta that i called Bast&^d as it never would start when i really needed it to. Now i have a new porsche 911!

Oh god. How terrible to think my 1st car was a 1957 Hillman Minx, 6356 FG was the reg no. I think. It was black with a grey roof, and used more oil than petrol.

I paid £18 for it, and sold it 3 months later for £35.I started selling cars after that, and have been in the motor trade since. It's a bug.

After that, I had 2 Ford Consul 375's. Big bench set in the front :), vaccum wipers, and 3 speed column change.

Ton's of cars in between, but by god, the past is the best!

Mine was a Vauxhall Chevette.... or a shovitt as all my friends affectionately termed it for the millionth time of getting it to jump start! It had blue fur trim on the panels.... It was called 'Oh for pete's sake don't break down here!'

After that I had a series of lovely little Ford Escorts whose only problems were rust. I currently have a lovely little 55 plate Fiesta 1.4 TDCi with a winter pack (heavenly) and she is a little beauty. She doesn't have a name as such but I do call her a 'good girl' especially when she manages to overtake another car!

Went from my beezer bantam 175 to an Austin 1100 1965 vintage, which was useful as i was apprenticed to a BMC dealer I wont say the name but after a while i had a Mini Cooper followed by a Cooper s.A family eventually made that inpractical and a wolseley 1885 followed, but i did have cortina,s and now a fiesta ghia.

In 2000 I was 15 y/o and got a green 2dr 98 Pontiac Grand Am, still have it and drive it. When I bought it it had only 300 miles on it, now I've almost hit the 200,000 mark, whoever said that Pontiacs don't last hasn't met my car which has been thru hell and back and it still going. I want a new car but really don't want to trade it in. You know how you 'know' your car, I just feel like I won't find another than drives the same.
My brother named it The Green Hornet.

First one a 1937 BSA Three Wheeler.
Second a Ford Popular.
Various Fords in between.
Current one Ford Focus 1.8 Zetec X registration (the best Ford I reckon to have had!).

Reason my nearest main dealer is for Fords.
