HI
Seems like a pure statement of personal faith and conviction as opposed to his former doubting self.
I think he is really making the point that God is a personal God and not the product of conjecture by others.

There is a lot of meaning to this quote. This quote is for those humans sometimes non-believers who are hand picked by God to do a job for Him. He will contact those who are being watched since they were born and when the right time is reached will be sent a revelation of some sort that will scare the hell out of them. Also they will now know God exists even though they cannot prove it and no body would believe them.

Our beliefs are always the result of our life experience. Sadly so is our prejudice.
The last time someone came forward and embraced me I had to put a dollar in their stockings

"...He came and embraced me..."
How do we know that? Could have been a mislabeled feeling or series of feelings. Just because one feels comforted and wants to believe that the comfort came from a specific god, does not mean that this god does exist much less came to provide comfort.
People will believe what they want despite evidence or lack thereof. People will give credit where none is due and neglect to give credit where it is appropriate. Man makes mistakes and false assumptions.
This quote does little for me.

I think we accept the version of reality we are presented with. Though I will believe my own experiences I know that they are no more valid then what anyone else believes to be true.
I do think there is truth outside of personal experiences as well.

I think that's an excellent quote. Perhaps the essence of the issue. Is it possible to view our subjective experiences objectively? If it were, I'd assume that'd be the end of theism.
