I read the translation by Constance Garnett (which is the older and widely used version, but has been criticized) when I first read the book, but have heard really good things about the more recent version by Richard Pevear and Larissa Volokhonsky.

I would probably check out the newer translation by Pevear and Volokhonsky.

You cannot trust the KJV version, it was first translated into Latin, then back into Greek, then in to English.

Russian and Latin don't mix, and lead to grammatical error that completely change the meaning.

In reality, you should learn Russian to have a true understanding of the book.....
