Logic(sound logic anyways) has to come from clearly defined premises. God is a very fuzzy definition. So it's hard to make any logical conclusions starting from there.
Even if you start from clearly defined premises, if they are false, a valid logical argument can be made from them which will yield a false conclusion.
I'm not sure if logic even applies to the monkey one. We seem to have a lot of characteristics in common with monkeys. Evolution seems plausable. So it seems plausable that we could have evolved from monkeys or some monkey like creature or primate. But I'm not sure if this could be formatted into premises, arguments and conclusion like true logic. I guess the premises would be, well monkeys existed when man supposedly first walked the planet, evolution has been somewhat demonstrated for simple species changes, we have many simillar characteristics to monkeys, so therefore we came from monkeys. But the first two premises I mentioned are believable but far from absolute truths so any conclusion drawn from them is subject to doubt. This is where logic is always doubtful. The logic itself can be perfect but the premises always have question marks beside them.

Evolution is a scientific fact. But that does not preclude any belief in God or any other supreme being.
The Bible should not be taken literally. The stories are works of literature written by humans to help explain the world. The Vatican even says so:
"The fundamentalists want to give a scientific meaning to words that had no scientific aim," Cardinal Paul Poupard said at a Vatican press conference. He said the real message in Genesis was that "the universe didn't make itself and had a creator."

I'll tell you what i know not what i think. First of all i know that you don't know him or believe in him which is not your fault. the only way you know GOD is that he comes to you, you don't go to him. if you are one of his the day will come that your eyes will be open to see, your ears will be open to hear and your heart will be open to understand that GOD is the creator of the heavens and the earth and all that is there in. Which means that you will see his creation and know how perfectly made everything that was ever made from it's beginning. For example the stars in the sky, the moon and the sun has it's perfect place. How the earth has eveything aligned perfectly for it's existence enableing you and i and all that excist's in it on it and for it. The day will come for you to be able to make a choice to believe. I'm just expaining to you that you can't see GOD in his creation so there for i suggest that you get on your knees and ask him if you are real, open my eyes to see my ears to hear of you and my heart to be open to understand that i was created by the GOD that created me and all that there is that was created. Just ask him to let you know. I pray you will and I will be praying for you also. Take a look at yourself in the mirror and do you see a monkey or you? GOD bless and I know that you will know him one day just because you asked about him unless this is just a joke. I pray his light will lead you to the path that will lead you to him. GOD BLESS

What do I think?
I think that "logic" has little, if anything, to do with it all.
Faith simply is a matter of...well...faith. In the absence of faith, a person has to be dependent upon "scientific proof". The downside to "proof" is that it will NEVER be sufficient. And, for the person demanding "proof", faith will never be sufficient.
I also believe that where "we came from" is so very, very, very, very, very insignificant when compared to where "we are going". Focus on the REAL issue...not on small stuff.
The where "we are going" depends on faith (acceptance or denial). Accept and enter into the covenant of the New Testament for the salvation of the eternal soul thru Jesus, Son of the one true God...or deny. It really IS that simple.

We didn't come from Monkeys, we originated from the same form - that's it. We are NOT monkeys - why is this so hard to understand?
apparently appearing out of thin air versus slowly changing like everything else in the universe is more logical.
Think of a car - remember the old ones? Ya, they were clunky and had no style - years of changes have made them into Ferrari's - think of another 50 years and the changes it'll go through.
do we change the same? Well, no one is changing us, but our environment is. Our environment changes on such a slow level why would we ever expect us to change quick, too? It's not required.

We are not descended from modern apes or monkeys, etc.
We are part of a common evolutionary family bush.
Evolution and Creation are both compatible.
God is the ultimate source of all and the Uncaused Cause.

Neither. Man comes from man. Our earliest ancestor is called a hominid. NOT a monkey.
Put down your Bible and get an education. Read Charles Darwin's "The Origin of the Species."

It's more logical to realize that the science of evolution is accurate and that mankind and simians came from a common ancestor than it is to believe that some kind of supernatural super-being created all of reality on a whim. Pretend for a moment that you have no agenda and that NEITHER answer has any influence on your life and you should find yourself understanding that evolution is more logical.
P.S. *Drink*
