isn't this just the most awesome breed of cat? I own several - all purebred, all adopted from rescue organizations so anyone thinking they have to pay hundreds of dollars for one of these beautiful animals are wrong. I have seals, torties and a flame. If you love Himmies, tell your story and why you think they are the greatest.

when one of my Himi males urinates outside of the box, he either has a bladder or urinary tract infection. Always get those taken care of by a vet. Another telltale sign is straining and some blood in the urine.

Our Himmie was from the shelter. Sleeping in its litterbox.
He thought he was King Takeover when my other one "put him in his place."
It took a while for him to settle in (we've had him 5 years now) and he hates to be brushed so, now he has another appt. to get groomed. He looks so cute when he's groomed to nothing and becomes a little lion.
It's wonderful you adopted yours from the shelters as well.
Each has their own cat-attitude, that's for sure as well as their own personality.
Although, he has misbehaved for some unknown reason. A couple of times he has widdled on the carpet. I'm not sure if it was spite or just too lazy to go down to his litte box which is always clean.
Advice on that would be great.
Enjoy them, and love them.

My mom has two himmies.. registered. THey are GORGEOUS cats and are the sweetest cats I've seen (This could be in large part because of my mom's way with cats.. they should call her the "cat whisperer".
Anyway, I'd love to have one! But I have all the cats I can have right now (In my small apartment).. They are both moggies I rescued.

I think they're beautiful cats. I love looking at them. I can't have cats in my home. We have terrible allergies and all that hair and dander would kill me and my little girl. But they're gorgeous. 2D
