I think I lost my 2006 income tax forums and I am trying to get them replaced.

How do I do this and what do I need to replace them with?

You can call IRS at 1-800-829-1040 and request a transcript of account to provide to the financial aid office.
or visit IRS website to download Form 4506 (Request for Copy of Tax Return) or Form 4506T (Request for Transcript of Return),
To request copies by phone, refer the taxpayer to the IRS Special Hotline for taxpayers affected by recent hurricanes and combat zone individuals: 1-866-562-5227 (Hours of operation are 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday-Friday, your local time - except Alaska and Hawaii which are Pacific time.)

Or you can call your local IRS office in your city, look in your directory for a phone number to call them and set up appointment, they can provide you with a transcript
The financial aid will accept a transcript of your return that IRS provides to you. The form 4506-T also has a place available where you can request the transcript to be sent to the financial aid office.

If you used a tax preparer, they might be able to give you a copy. Otherwise contact the irs for copies of your filed tax forms.

Look in the Government listings of your phone book & find an 800# for Taxation. Call them & just request a copy of it. No biggie & it won't even cost you amything. It wuld. be under the Frderal Government listings. IF you get the wrong number, they'll give you the proper one. That's an easy one!

Or if you had a tax professional prepare your return, you could get it from them.
