- Meson Sevilla: traditional food from Spain that I love, but their sangria is not as good as Malaga's.
- Agozar: Cuban and other Latin food I enjoy.
- Fiddlesticks: for myself personally, it's the best place to have some inexpensive drinks in peace.
- Barolo ristorante: their Italian food and wine are excellent.
- Mars 2112: alien theme bar with very good music, it's a fun place.
- Pongsri Thai: I just love their food and the prices as well.
There are others, but those are the ones that come to mind at the moment.
Edit: I just realised that you asked this for Los Angeles, I was referring to NY in my post.

I enjoy a local bar and grill that has really good 2'fers all week and on the weekends also. A close friend of both mine and my husbands is the GM there, so he offered my husband a pt position tending the bar on Fri and Sat nights for extra cash. Its really a laid back bar that has a really neat waterfall out side.

you probably have an Embassy Suites in your area. their happy hour is quite good, and you don't have to be a guest.
